It's only slightly bullshit, in that the game never really throws you into a situation before now where you need to be able to deal with things like this. There are easier situations but some of them are in substories and you almost always have another way to deal with them instead of learning how to do it 'properly'.

This is the final part of the game, though, it makes sense for it to challenge you. The three tough enemies at the end of that section are an antepiece for the final boss - three miniboss enemies with different styles, it's to remind you to switch styles to suit the enemy. Of course by the time you get there most players probably just smash them with beast/brawler.

I would love to see Kiara play through the whole MGS games in general (while MGR is great, jumping into it as your first would rob you of so much context to really appreciate it).
I think she would also like them / they kinda fit her. Difficulty wise it's nothing too unbeatable (and in the later games you can turn down the difficulty even more and trivialize them into downright story mode) with very few / no actual "hard" sections. The games are short enough that they don't drag on forever and you don't have to be afraid of committing to a 20 parts stream project when they can each be knocked out in 3-4 streams instead. They're very narratively driven and linear, so there's a story to keep you engaged and there's little "uuuh ... so what am I supposed to do now?" confusion/frustration. The main characters are loveable and memorable, and the plots have enough melodrama to keep her engaged and enough wackiness to lighten what would otherwise by a dry military action game that wouldn't appeal to her normally.

But of course, Konami permissions autism, alas...

The dub itself is reason enough not to play it, it's legitimately terrible. Not even in a way you can enjoy unless you've already played the game a few times. I wouldn't recommend starting with the original even if you can speak Nippon, and because you're asking here I'll assume you can't - you're also putting up with extremely antiquated game design, far more limited and simplistic substories, and far more basic combat. If you really want to experience it you can go back and play it after you've played Kiwami and some of the other games, but it's genuinely not a good experience to start off with even if you're a purist.
