they're being faggots, all of the souls games are perfectly playable with keyboard and mouse. I've played DS 1, 2, 3, and now elden ring with kbm and never once ran into any input or control related issue.

Hell, keyboard and mouse is even better in some aspects like being able to sprint and control the camera at the same time, as both use the same thumb on controller but are obviously different with kbm. In DS2 there's an issue with its inputs on controller where your character will suddenly veer into a sharp turn if you exceed a certain angle on the analog stick, but this issue doesn't exist for kbm while still retaining the ability to make very fine adjustments during movement using the camera. In ER the default mapping places jump on pressing in the movement stick which can cause some people to accidentally jump when they didn't mean to, but on kbm it's bound to F by default, thus negating that possibility.

My position is that keyboard and mouse are perfectly acceptable alternatives to using a controller for these games. I even laid out 3 scenarios in which kbm is arguably better than controller. You then claim that a controller is a more intuitive input method. How? Is pressing A for confirm more intuitive than pressing E? Is holding B to sprint more intuitive than holding spacebar? In DS1 and 3 to jump you'd hold the dodge button until you began sprinting and then quickly release and tap it again, on kbm you'd hold spacebar until you began sprinting than quickly released and pressed it again. Sekiro only feels challenging because it's not Dark Souls. You have to unlearn things that Fromsoft has been teaching you for years and it's very hard to get used to but once you understand that it's a different game you can learn pretty quickly. 3 or 4 of the bosses are genuinely bullshit but all the games have their share of nonsense. In terms of difficulty: Demon's > Souls 2 > Sekiro > Bloodborne > Souls 3 > Souls 1

If you are curious, ER enemies have objectively the most complex movesets they ever made. A big portion of the moves are dynamic sequences that can be cancelled/changed based on your position, many swings have long windups to throw you off and every single boss, even the shitter dungeon ones, has a 2nd phase. At the same time, the game is more "cheesable" than ever. So it's both the hardest and easiest FROM game depending on how you want to play.
Sekiro doesn't let you regulate the difficulty the way that the other games do, so it is the hardest if we are talking about minimum skill requirement, since you can't just have a +10 Mimic solo a boss for you like in ER.

So, when playing on keyboard and mouse, what keybindings do you guys like using for different actions?
I like binding RMB to left weapon attack so I use it to "aim" with a bow just like FPS games (and double click for strong attack).
Other than that, It felt very fluid to assign lock-on to Q, use item to E, interact to F (so I can free LMB), Ctrl+RMB/LMB to switch weapons and Shift+RMB/LMB to switch items/spells.

I played every Fromsoft game with a PC release using keyboard-only and have won multiple various challenge runs of them all. I bind the camera to IJKL, light right-armed attack to H, and heavy to U. Yes, honestly. I took my time full-clearing everything, zero grinding, and ended up mowing through the middle 30% of the game due to high stats. It tapers off and becomes fun again once you hit Leyndell, but depending on the order you do things in, you can trivialize a lot of the early-midgame content.

Case in point, Reine's just run past and skipped like 80% of the content in the games guns blazing and is still doing just dandy.

Nuzlockes aren't for elitism though, they are just to make the game more fun. It helps spice up replays by adding in an element of randomness you wouldn't have otherwise had. Nuzlockes themselves aren't even hard as most of the newer games are designed for you to win with whatever you wanted rather than expecting anything out of you.
