I'm really feeling like this lately as an oldfag who's a vtuber fan since 2017. I sometimes go and watch old Kaguya Luna videos, her collabs with oyabun, Himehina videos, Mirai Akari videos. I can't believe that time is already over and how things are so different in a small period of time. The golden age of vtubers between 2017-2019 really was something.

Well, I wouldn't say its their fault entirely, youtube is becoming sterile. All the fucked up streamers/content creators I used to watch on it who would get high and harrass/fight people on the streets in hollywood etc are all banned.

I guess a little bit but, aside from Luna, all of those chuubas you mentioned are still active and you can even throw Siro on there, still active. I can't speak much for Akari or Siro but I can say that Kizuna Ai's and Himehina's content is still just as good as ever and I still watch it regularly. Ai is still hilarious, full of energy, and a great singer and Himehina still put out absolute bangers. Just because Holofags and Nijiniggers overran the scene doesn't mean the actual good vtubers that created the medium don't still exist. They are very much still around.

Of course I do. It was a great time. Kizuna and Kaguya are irreplaceable to me. I love rewatching their videos. PPH was also great and makes pretty good music. Too bad all three are pretty much dead but what they did stays with me.
