I think it really depends on whose applications they get.
EN2 feels like they're trying to poach another big name with a preexisting fanbase. If someone like Lilypichu applies, they'd get in with no interview for sure.

I mean someone with Lilypichu's composing skills, stream experience, and animated clip repertoire would be someone with a stacked resume for a Vtuber gig. However, Cover's never scouted or debuted anyone that established already (already part of a streamer house, millions of subscribers, etc), so there's no reason to think they would hypothetically take someone like her. If anything, someone on the level of TinaKitten (if you're familiar with OfflineTV-adjacent streamers) would be more likely if Cover were to poach someone with a big/growing fanbase, especially considering her voice would work very well for Vtubing (whereas Lilypichu's is more generic fake high pitched sounding whether or not it's her natural voice).

My predictions as far as already known minor talents that might get selected:

Froot: She doesn't really fit in with the other vshoujo girls very well since her personality is so different. She could be desired to fill the role of Gen 2's Inanis, as the calm laid-back and grounded one who has great art skills.

Merryweather: He's underrated but I think he has a lot of potential, and the EN community would be vastly more accepting of a male chuuba than the JP community would, so I think they might pick at least one boy and he'd be a solid choice.

it doesn't exist, anon. the only reason this profession works for corporate is because there's a bunch of thirsty men who are simping over anime characters. even amongst the male viewers (Holostars and Nijisanji), the viewerbase still remains predominantly male with around 80-85% of viewers having a dick.

there is no significant female fanbase for male vtubers. there never will be. female otakus do exist, but they're spending their time playing VNs, drawing yaoi and discussing BTS. why would they listen to some sheltered, middle class twenty something white boy playing a male vtuber who has zero idea of what a charismatic figure would be.

Holostars are a thing and HolostarsEN may very well be a thing in the future if EN continues to do well, but for EN Gen 2, a generation in an branch of 40+ exclusively female Vtubers, all of the applicants chosen will be female. Go look at NijiEN or write to Cover about your interest in StarsEN if you feel so strongly about it. I hate to break it to you but gender-specified roles exist throughout the world (yes, even in burgerland, just go to any OBGYN or women's protection center) and it's not sexism or something you can "take someone to court" over just because a company specifies they're creating an all-female team of entertainers.
