You can literally watch THOUSANDS of English streamers on Twitch that are a copy-paste of what these EN Hololive streamers are doing, the only interesting thing they have going for them is their character models. Take that away, put them on Twitch and you would find them somewhere on page 150+ with 25 viewers.

Watching HoloEN is like watching the English-dub voice actors of Pokemon, their entire portrayal is so bland and the dumb wiggling of the Shark is seen as some form of acting genious when in reality it's just the streamer being lazy/not intuitive enough to keep talking. The EN-streamers are tryharding so badly to "be entertaining" which makes them forcefully place lame jokes, forcefully create "funny" situations and all these plebians make it out to be God-tier entertaining, when in reality it's God awful.

JP: You know they're portraying a character but with how fast they're speaking, how quickly they respond to unscripted situations without ever seeming to break voice makes it seem like a genuine and not forced character.

EN: Speaks a few lines - PAUSE 5-10 secs - wiggle their character like a spastic. Insert obligatory bad joke - PAUSE 5-10 secs – It is so telling that they do this to save energy as it's taxing to keep speaking with a forced voice and to prevent their real voice from breaking through.

With or without subtitles Subaru will always be more entertaining than any of the current HoloEN streamers will ever be, no matter what plebians will type in green text.

However, deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight, and you know that. You know that all you do now is have an entirely new linguistic medium in which to be ignored, and not even the exotic trait of being foreign makes up for just how uninteresting of a person you are.

Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a Western man is buried there.
