I'm sure they check out how you as a person are, how well one might work with others under the company, and most of all your potential to make a profit for them.
Spending 15 hours a day playing a couple of games won't cut it. Some of the current corpo vtubers that made it in had terrible viewership as an indie, but the corpos acknowledged their talent. Whether it's being a talker, singer, artist, editor, etc. there's always something.
