Sana seems like the kind that would have the best handling and acceleration, but lowest weight and only decent top speed. She's maneuvering like a pro, but not as good at pushing through a messy scramble.

IRyS would have best top speed and decent acceleration and weight but worst handling. Great moments where she can dominate, but also prone to falling off course if not careful.

Fauna would have good handling, good top speed, but slow acceleration and a lightweight. Can endure a bit but needs a little space to be at her best.

Kronii is heaviest and okay handling and good acceleration but lowest top speed. Good at gaining speed and knocking people around at the start, but can lose momentum on wider tracks where others are able to maneuver around her.

How is /nasa/ feeling about the general state of the station? We managed to unfold it. So now we have more room than 5000 people can use. We still have blackouts and air leaks, but we're no longer huddled up in bunkers smelling each other's feet. We still have a ton of work to do with setting up a waterwheel sawmill, electric arc blast furnaces, mining the crater, etc. I just want to get a survey of Sanalites' feelings about our current situation.

Here is a preview of the 2nd chapter of the lore story serving as a turning point for our dear spacemen. In this chapter i want to set up the stage for the Grand directive to recieve an update for future generations, now that we know we are stranded on this planet for at least a few more decades. The major points that would change would be that "mingling" with the natives would no longer be strictly forbidden and very slight changes to the Conflict directive.

Previously, conflict would be avoided at all costs, even if that meant that resource rich areas would be given over. Now, while expansion through combat is still forbidden, defending lands that we claimed is perfectly ok. If /who/ not calling you out, you are just close, that's it or whoever came at us with hostile intentions, we would deal with them like we have with the northern schizos. They would bleed just as much as we would. BUT we would still porsue peaceful diplomacy with different nations of this planet.

Bringing this up here as agreed before finalizing it, as it would change one of the core parts of our lore, the Grand directive. Which i kinda, sorta, maybe regret writing up like i did desu

Ah yea, Adam would be that person. He would be the first one to object, and before this part started he would have a heated argument with Alex. the part starts where it did because i wanted to just outline the core of what the meeting would be about; changing the Directive, and Alex's motivation behind his proposal. Note that there would be 7 people in total in this room, each of which would have to be convinced to a certain degree, but Adam would definitely be the loudest objector.

I can see why Alex opened with an emotional argument. However the fact is repairing the space station until its operational is a minimum 99 year project. We lost all of our factories. We have supplies in the survival kit that lets us get started with a basic settlement. In the end /nasa/ is going to have to expand its industrial tech into specialized factories to make the parts we need to return the station to orbit. In other words /nasa/ will have to build a civilization just to return to space.

And this is where the Grand Directive fails. The Grand Directive always assumes we have space fleet and homeworld wherever we go. So there's no need to settle into new homeworlds. /nasa/ needs to accept that Planet - /vt/ is their new homeworld as future Sanalites born here will be natives to the planet.

On the other hand what if a fleet from Homeworld reaches Planet - /vt/ via cross-dimensional wormhole to discover /nasa/ has become a rogue state for ignoring the Grand Directive. What if /nasa/ is not alone. Would the natives see /nasa/ as invaders if the rest of the star fleet arrives? What if /nasa/ ruins the evolution of this planet with their genes that leads to the death of native civilizations?

This was the problem that really started this whole story idea. My main goal with it is to set up for future expansion of /nasa/ in that direction, to become not just an outside observer of this planet, but an active participant in it's affairs a few generations in.

Ok, so i have seen this estimate in a few posts, but did we ever solidify it? honest question, i might have missed it. And if we haven't i would rather propose a shorter timeframe. somewhere in the ballpark of 20 years in a perfect world, 35 years if anyone besides us attempted it(with all the knowlege we have), but knowing our luck, or a severe lack thereof a more realistic estimate of 5-6.5 decades to fix the station. My reasoning for this would the natural lifespan of our species. Even if we could life for, lets say 150 years on average, which we could handwaive stating our borderline godlike diet, a century long project would still fall flat, i am afraid. Gen 0 Sanallites would want to return after all, and if the project is estimated to not even finish by the time the last gen 0 dies, what even is the point? Further generations would definitely become intertwined with the local culture, and there is a good chance they would reject returning to home system in favour of continuing their life down here. A shorter timeframe on the repairs would, if nothing else, enable a grand event in the future, where the oldest gen 0s and any that would go with them could depart in a grand fashion, marking the start of a new era for the ones that stayed. Heck, could even serve as Anno Domini for the new Sanallite nation. Either way, i am open for discussion on this.

Again, did we establish that we are not of this dimension? I will admit that i don't know all of our lore from the top of my head, so it is entirely possible that i have, same as with the repair estimate, missed it/forgotten it. Doesn't really change anything, at least in regards to this story, but i would like a solid confirmation for the future.

I would like to imagine that for at least another few decades we are safe from any other ships arriving. We are an exploratory fleet after all, we go outside the usual reaches of our ships, and the home system wouldn't notice anything strange for a while yet, as communications get exponentially harder the farther we go. The estimated return of the flagship(our station) was still whole 3 decades off. So even if they immediately sent a investigation vesel after us, we have like 50ish years?

Well, we can't really be sure until it happens, but i would like to imagine that, due to our diet, our bodies are naturally healthier (could be our cells going through mitosis with less damage to the DNA or something, idk, i suck at biology) and are less susceptible to cancers and such. Also, with our low numbers, it is more likely that our own genes would get dilluted, with only the better traits surviving(blah blah blah, evolution, blah blah blah)
