What turned people around (well, other than the actual few antis exposing themselves over and over again as pathetic clowns, so less people wanted to be associated with them) was mostly her consistency and dedication (to streaming in general and Hololive specifically). You'll often hear people say they used to dislike her, but at least came to respect/tolerate her over time (good enough, you can't win em all, but as long as they're not gonna be schizo antis anymore that's a win).
Another thing that helped her standing in the board was that some of the other previous 4ch favorite girls also had some mis-steps that lowered people's estimation (for most of the girls it was just harmless stuff like taking too many breaks and being inconsistent, and for Mori it was her retardation episodes), which made Kiara look better in comparison again. It's not that she herself changed much, she's mostly doing the same things she always did, but that's the point, she's doing it at least consistently, so people grew to respect her more "well, she's consistent, at least..."

Decided to watch old streams for sleep, so I went to the minecraft playlist and saw an Ame collab that I had never seen (I started watching Kiara a little bit later, a few days before november). To my surprise, the stream starts with Kiara talking enthusiastically about how Huke joined the server. Knowing how this will end up is saddening, but Ame and Kiara are being chill and cute and I don't want to stop. Also, Kiara's voice is cute now, but her voice in the old microphone is simply divine, people were deaf to even remotely consider this annoying.
