I spent way too long thinking about this post and while I still think it's retarded (when did Vei enjoy anime again exactly) I think it has an undeniable kernel of truth to it. There has been a fundamental tonal shift in the streams of the big vshojos and what we have now is basically unrecognizable compared to the stuff I started watching in 2020. The girls are more popular than ever so I shouldn't blame them, they've played their cards right and it has paid off. It has, however, completely alienated me as a viewer and I realize I haven't really enjoyed streams as much as I used to and it's probably better to cut my losses here before I end up like the rest of you. I can handle poor scheduling, but feeling disappointed even when I manage to catch a stream feels bad.

The fairytale is cut short however as the audience gasps and chatters without Nyanners frail vocalizations in earshot. What's the point in putting on a show if your rival won't even know? This can't be, everyone is there. Mousey is being flung through the air like an actress in a Pasek and Paul scored musical as the couples begin what will culminate in a dirty rendition of the cupid shuffle. The lights are colorful and the music loud, but not enough to drown out the doubts swirling in Vei's head. "Has Nyanners completely disowned us? Does she think she's better than me? She's never been better than me and that bitch is just running now that she's realized it." As if to cut through the noise, a dagger into her psyche, a siren sounds. The fire trucks are approaching and a voice comes on the PA system in a startled tone. "Attention students and faculty of Viewmore High, we regret to inform you that a forest fire has begun nearby. We ask that everyone remain calm and evacuate the school, arrangements have already been made to shuttle anyone without a car to the nearby VA hall." As Vei navigated the shockingly apathetic cloud of evacuees, it dawned on her. "that bitch really did lose it." Smoke covers the school as sired and alarms invade the air, yet a distinctly shitty sound can be made out through the foley and chatter.
