She dotes on matsurisu a lot and in general is very lovable and affectionate towards her fans, once you get hooked you're not getting out easily (which can be both good and bad) Also depends on the kind of stream she's doing.
On the other hand getting too emotionally invested to a chuuba is never a good idea to begin with regardless of the streamer in question so keep that in mind
Matsuri also has realtalk moments every now and then which is a turnoff for some, like her openness about male collabs, talking about some corpo stuff, calling out anti comments and SC etc. It isn't frequent but it does happen sometimes. Do you pick your favorites based on certain standards? That's not really how I discovered her nor how I decided to start watching her. We're just going to timeloop this but I just enjoy watching her have fun. When she's alone she's still interactive and quite funny and when she's with others she is hilarious. If she's doing well that's a bonus.

Whether it's best for her is a different question, though I think she can probably do things adjacent or complimentary to playing apex if she really wanted to focus on growing her channel.

I want to be clear that I don't think her Apex is completely irredeemable, I could list several moments that I consider to be funny, entertaining or just plain cool (her clutching 1v1 against Ras back early-mid last year in CR is one of those.) There is fun to be had for the viewer, but I also know what the bulk of her Apex content is/was like, particularly what tournaments and the practice streams looked like. Often times neither she or the viewers had fun watching it play out.
Granted, she's improved since that, both mentally and in-game, so these things might be a non-issue now, but after watching what I just described for more than a year, I have little to no interest in finding out.

On top of that, I get completely different vibes from her when she's playing Apex with a stack, especially with non-holos. Maybe it's just me, but I genuinely don't feel like I'm watching Matsuri, and that's a huge issue when I'm trying to watch Matsuri. There's a strange disconnect, and how badly it shows depends on the people she's playing with. Sometimes it's more evident and other times not at all.

Anyways, I'm fine with her playing Apex now, since it doesn't seem to be completely replacing her usual content like most of last year. I'm just not going to watch it, nor am I going to stop calling it her weakest content, because I believe it is. I don't think it's just a coincidence that tournaments are her least popular content, and that it causes quite a bit of dissatisfied feedback/comments etc. every time. The reasons can vary from viewer to viewer, obviously, but you get the point

I was referring to low standards from >>21237931 to suggest that my reasons for watching her, whatever she's playing, aren't really rooted in anything rational like quality of content. Are there types of streams I'd prefer? Certainly. As for apex, I don't mind the tournaments but recognize they are limited on a pretty fundamental level with the long periods of waiting between games and the total lack of interaction due to stream delays. And yeah she had plenty of that last year largely due to the sheer amount of private lobbies and tournaments she participated in. Unless you particularly like to watch her play apex I can understand how it wouldn't be a good time. More so if she isn't doing well, although for me personally it's more of a frustration that it's hard/impossible for viewers to more immediately support her. She can really only lean on her teammates in those situations. Regardless I have an interest in watching her progress since I have enjoyed seeing her go from the times she would cower over basic encounters in casual lobbies to being a dependable IGL in a tournament setting.

Fair enough. I just became disillusioned with Apex over time, especially with last year's ridiculous streak of just tournaments replacing most of her content variety, so I started looking at the streams with a more critical eye. And I came to the conclusion that I don't find tournament streams enjoyable enough for me personally, and it can't be saved even by the fact that I'm watching my oshi.
But as long as she doesn't fuck up her usual variety outside of tournament arcs, I'm fine waiting them out for better stuff to come. That's also what I said last year after CR5(6?), but the complete opposite happened. It's hard to not get biased against Apex at that point.

I'll also add that I found CR Cup with norimayuge and Nijicup to be overall very entertaining tournaments, despite my bias. Other tournaments (and their surrounding weeks) from last year, not so much.

I don't really get it either. Sometimes he calls out bad translations when he sees them but just deleting messages will discourage translators from doing any live translations. If he's not going to live translate himself he should allow for someone else to do it and only intervene in extreme cases.

I haven't seen her play in a long time so can't give any specific comments on her gameplay, but I have seen her tweets and off-hand comments in other streams about her playing recently and the worries she has.
Personally I think she's just playing too much. She often makes comments about playing all day, playing since morning, one time she played for like 10 hours and until she got dizzy, right? That's more than enough to get brainfogged and lose your focus while playing and start performing bad. I think she might just be mistaking fatigue-caused bad performance with having to work even harder to fix fundamentals.

I get that she wants to prepare for the tournament and practice a lot, but I think her just grinding for hours on end daily is going to do more harm than good when it comes to her improving. Not only is the last x hours of her prac gone to waste because she's already brainfogged and fatigued (nothing to gain as she's underperforming) she also won't gain anything from her good practice if she doesn't properly rest and have a mental reset.

She's already capable of playing with fairly good fundamentals and gamesense imo. I mean of course there's always something to improve (the last time I saw her play, aim, positioning and sightlines)
Anyways, I just think she shouldn't be on the path of burning herself out weeks before even scrims start. I think everyone who's played comp games is familiar with the feeling of getting a huge mental block and feeling like you're playing shit no matter what you do, but then after taking a week's break you're owning again.

This came the day after clips of Aqua came out showing her steamrolling so I figure it's a little bit of both fundamentals and finesse. This is one of her direct peers so it would be understandable if this is hurting her more than usual. But in this case her asking about カャラコン is fine.
