I think all vtubers despise their fans to some extent. Women treat lesser men with contempt, so to me it's the logical conclusion.
Like for example: Bullying them with money is a stupid concept, deep down, they're laughing at you.
They love the money you give them, and are only 'bullied' to the extent that they feel guilty enough to stop egging you on.
