A lot of big ones are doing actual business shit behind the scenes (on top of networking, having a social life that isn't on camera, etc) and setting up scheduled content. Most just pretend like it's "Oh, so spontaneous stuff!" but it's a good balance of planned/semi scripted that they go into and freehand while live. As someone who's dabbled in it, it's a lot more work than you think for an amateur like me who did it as a hobby, I can't imagine what making "real" content people actually look forward to watching is like.

From what I saw he just did a good job of networking in his early days. He was a pngtuber for quite some time but still collabing with people like Bao and Vienna. I guess he also had a good mic which puts him above 90% of indies and a good voice to go with it.
