Just because the mocap wasn't done on location doesn't mean the fans weren't actually on location.

What point are you trying to make?
I am legitimately unsure whether your point is "They did it live off-site" or something else.
If it's the first, I'm not interested in arguing pro/con that.
My only point is that they could've done it (live or not is not a point of discussion) somewhere other than Japan.

They recorded the performance in a rented studio and played it back during the concert. Why is it so hard to understand.

Not sure what you're asking with the crowd tho, they just played the recorded mocap on the stage and they reacted to it.
