I played for divs from the very beginning, but divs in the summer were 30-40 fucking percent at the top. It was a worthwhile play.
Now with shite divs it just means I'm more likely to immediately sell or 2x sell shitcoins if they ever + >10% and that I think twice about selling Mori, Peko, Holo, etc.

I have updated the timekeeper to include multicoin trades up to 10x. Additionally, I have changed how the timekeeper works to allow quick updating of cycles to account for the recent issues with adjustment. Please note that cycles lost in a day do not affect cycles until Dividend Payouts, as dividends are not affected by the current adjustment issue.

Expect the MOVE Data to be updated over the next hour. We'll skip the in-thread overview of the adjustments, unless I feel like doing it anyway.

If you want optimization to not have losses, the same advice I gave to Tampa applies to you, same goes with Triangle's post about inflation.
You have some interesting buys here, KIARA$ x1, FAUNA$ x2, NENE$ x2 and PEKORA$ x2 fall into the zone where they are around the average, some slightly above it and some slightly below it, meaning you are essentially making a 0% deal, deal which will start being profitable once that coin spikes or once inflation does its magic, really smart play from you!
Other deals I can see that you wanted to try to go for the same thing (CHOCO$, MUMEI$, LUNA$, LAPLUS$, all x2 that should be lowered to x1) but, sadly, they are already above the price I would recommend doing that.
Your sells on the other hand, are quite bad, KANATA$ is x3 at most, and that's pushing it, I would do x2, same with AME$, she's x3 at most, ROBOCO$ is dead on her average, selling her is dumb unless you need to cash out (you don't), IROHA$ is actually down, KORONE$ is x3 at most, AKI$ is just like ROBOCO$, HAATO$ is x3 at most, LAMY$ x1 and I wouldn't even sell her, she's a good coin, SUBARU$ should be x1, CHLOE$ is a fake dip as I said, but she's near 0% relation to average, don't sell her.

I've started with the ROI-based long-term strategy and made my wallet hyper-optimised for dividends since last September. I moved on to work on my short-term strategy around December-January, and ironically came back to revise the long-term since the playing field has fundamentally changed over the past couple of months as a consequence of the anchored value of the dividend payouts.

Inflation has been long overlooked as a potential source of value due to how long it takes for it to bear fruit and how intangible it is. While I have incorporated it in my plans before – notably liquidating 80-90% of my entire wallet expecting a deflation in the second boggening – I haven’t done so in a systematic manner until recently, when I was considering the sources of income to be broken down in the Returns Report.

The consequence of how elusive it is leads to more people paying attention solely to the dividend value of a coin, while I’d like to note that if you buy an overpriced coin, you not only pay a one-off payment in the price-action part of the transaction (once that coin will dip) but also the value you overpaid for a coin will never see the long-term returns in the form of gentle increase in price due to inflation!

In other words, what you’d consider to be a one-off payment for the short-term actually has long-term losses associated with it.

This was a non-issue in the days when coin prices were lower, the inflation was lower, and dividends could reach 20-30% of coin’s worth. Back then, you would get back on your initial investment much quicker and the value lost due to buying a coin while it spiked was much lesser. But now, this is the new frontier of the long-term strategy, unless some event or mechanic shakes up the market.

Either way, this was my DD on why buying Mori at 10x mindlessly isn’t a winning strategy, Cypherposter if you’re reading this, please evolve your strategy. I want to be able to compete in the Trading Report… There are at least three people gunning for the #1 spot and I want for them to prove their mettle and beat me fair and square.

Since a lot of people are buying her even when she spikes, she faces much harsher adjustments due to overbought. Right, but even if the player quits, their wallets will still inflate and give dividends. I just ran the same calculation, and if everyone in the top 200 were to quit and stop doing any actions, the market inflated at the rate of 0.8% per day (as it does now), the trader earned 100 mil every single week (more than the biggest trading profit known), and got a steady 8% return in dividends each week while Cypher got 6%, then he’d pass Cypher… well, never.
You see, the issue is that profit from trading is almost a constant (it increases very slightly the more the coins are worth, but it’s counteracted by the necessity of spending more), the profit from dividends increases somewhat exponentially, but since dividends themselves stagnate while the prices of coins rise, it grants less and less returns over time, and the profit from inflation is simply exponential.
In order to even have a chance to compete with a completely dead account worth 23.15 billion, the inflation of the market would need to have been 0.3% per day (which is lower than the state before the multicoin update, which was 0.5% per day) and then the slow climb would take “mere” 107 weeks.
As much as people shat on dividends, you need to be at least marginally active to tap onto them. Inflation causes free-floating accounts like Rean or Konnui to still hang around at the top, even though Rean hasn’t played in 4 months he just dropped from 13-14-ish to 20-ish.

>Disclaimer & Limitations
Before we proceed, I should note that the Returns Report is still a work-in-progress. The dividends and trading data should be reasonably accurate, but net worth gain due to inflation (wallet appreciation) is still being worked upon, so take it with a grain of salt. In its finished state, the Returns Report will also include losses/gains of net worth due to auctions, gacha, betting, and market fluctuations, painting a whole and complete picture of individual components that caused your net worth to change over the week.
The data collection has several limitations:
• It does not include data from closed wallets.
• Inactivity is denoted solely by the lack of trades in the past week.
• If someone were to open and close their wallets over the week, it’d only count the open-wallet period.
So, if you are active in the top 200 and want to see your performance in those reports, set your wallet to public!

>Income Overview
The data was collected during the 20:00 GMT+0 13.03.2022 to 20:00 GMT+0 20.03.2022 period. Data is sorted from largest to smallest total income during the data collecting period.
To define the sources of income:
- ‘Trading Profit’ stems from selling coins within the last week. Once a coin is sold, an associated ‘buy’ transaction is matched. The difference between buy price and sell price, deducted by buying/selling taxes, constitutes the trading profit column. Zeros in this column indicate a lack of sells, while negative values indicate inefficient trading.
- ‘Investments Profit’ stems from coins bought but not sold within the last week. In this case, the ‘profit’ is measured by taking the buy price and subtracting it from the 14-day average price of the coin. Negative values here indicate buying coins above their base price and holding them – large negative values are often the signs of heavy oshicoining or spending large amounts of money at once.
- ‘Last Dividends’ is simple enough. It’s the dividend payout from 19.03.2022 dividends.
- ‘Wallet Appreciation’ is the increase in net worth caused by market inflation. Bigger wallets have coins that remained ‘passive’ throughout the entire week are neither bought nor sold; however, the market is trending upwards, and thus they increase in value over time slightly. It is harder to notice, but it has a massive impact as it makes up for roughly 1/4th of the total profits of higher-ranked players. It’s calculated by taking the 21-day average price of a coin one week ago and now, subtracting them, and then multiplying by the amount of ‘passive’ coins in the wallet for every coin. Naturally, if the market were trending downwards, we’d observe a wallet depreciation, loss in value.

As you can see, trading differentiates the players a lot. While total income was correlated mainly with rank, especially high on the leaderboard, trading easily differentiates between players who are close to one another.

As you can see, wallet appreciation starts being the main driving force of late-game income. This trend will deepen as long as dividends remain stagnant.

If you're talking about more volatile adjustments, it'll just result in the occurrence of new baselines being set for coins at super high values, see Pekora for the best case of this. And probably soon Holo which will make it a shitcoin, permanently making Mori the best coin in the game for consistency, which is everyone's favorite thing.
If you're talking about volume volatility, it does nothing as it's honestly in a fine-ish spot currently and changing that has no impact on how fast a person can climb when corpse-chama or retard who just 0s out before dividends just gets free money that takes months to surpass.
Either way, changing volatility won't make it easier to climb, just inflate things harder honestly.

Inflation is funny, I like see Tower stuck at 72 even though he hasn't bought a coin since 6 months ago and holds only Towa who doesn't get very impressive dividends. Which will soon probably permanently inflate to a new baseline, keeping him as a corpse for longer. Or Rean whose now finally falling out of the top 20 after months of being inactive as well.
I do agree on volatility in dividends though, I'm still permanently miffed that Towa had her best weeks ever and only peaked at 2.4k for dividends while having views nearly at the highest of all channels, which is probably due to some dividend algorithm bullshit that I don't have the numbers for. Tangentially related, Honk should really step in to do something about Mori soon as well, but I don't even know what can be done at this point myself without some major bullshit. Every other "meta" had some changes down to counteract it like Gura/Rushia/etc. but Mori's has gone on for so long that it's not even fun to shitpost about.
Also do note, I am largely talking out of my ass and rambling since I like the game and want the best for it, but it just feels very pointless to me now.

yup, i meant volatile adjustments. the voices in my head suggests that harsher adjustment will make climbing much more easier and kill inflation faster which will filter inactives out of the leaderboard faster (not sure about this but i got the impression that most holo's are not really streaming that much so harsher crash will remain even if most of the player spend hard.) will this fix anything? most likey not. are my speculations correct? i do not know.

Don't make adjustments anymore volatile (I'm honestly in favor of a return to a cap of some form), it's the reason for permanent coin inflation like Pekora. It's a double edged sword. Hololive is gonna stabilize at like 70k after this spike and it's gonna be disgusting. People need to spend money regardless, any harsher dips just makes people buy more and not adjust their traders, permanently increasing volume of a coin, sure you can profit more for a short bit technically, but if those harsher spikes end up resulting in higher baselines like coins we have been seeing, it means nothing as those corpses will just stabilize as a result of that new baseline that might be set.

Harsher adjustments mean better deals for divs and that retards that love to buy everything red will just push prices up even more, it was speculated that the reason the market is inflating so fast right now is the removal of the 10k adjustment cap a few months ago, someone pointed at towa as an example, she had multiple 10k adjustments, yet she remained stable, now 2 months after the cap was removed everything has gone to shit, other example was hololive staying at around 32k to 35k, then after the cap was removed its regular price started to inflate with each new hologra.
