Yes it does. It works at the crucial failures in emotion regulation and at some of the identity disturbance and can very well keep the borderline-whore functional in the long term. Hell, it's even possible to treat the disorder to the extent that the individual is no longer classified as disordered.
The notion of therapy not being able to treat BPD is an entirely outdated notion.

What personality disorder isn't?
The actual difficulty is actually in the BPD's willingness to accept their state and then seek change. If they dedicate themselves to the process, the process of emotional and personal growth that normally takes a BPD-individual up to their seventies can occur within years. A year's work at DBT can coalesce into the individual being disorder-free into posterity, so long as they don't dump their newfound skills and knowledge.

Yeah if you take a look at the archive there was a test /lig/ thread that died in a few posts. It seems after that a few anons asked around for advice, got some help from numbersfags and people in Anya/Petra, and then 5 days later the original OP, who was the Nemuposter that was tired of everyone's shit, made the first thread.
