a vtuber has already invested so much into the software and hardware that makes their avatar work, why wouldnt they do the same with the quality of their streams?
is it okay that vtubers do mostly "reaction" streams, are they still a vtuber if they dont worry about the quality of their streams?

It depends on if they are Twitch or YT mains. Twitch vtubers are normal streamers when it comes to content.

No specific language, no specific gender, no specific games, no specific tastes.
Just be entertaining. I really am not a picky man.

I've been following non-chuuba streamers for so long that I'll laugh at anyone giving special treatment to retarded young white women just because they're larping as anime girls.

I base it completely off vibes. If the stream is always so scuffed that I notice it all the time (and I’m not the kind to pay super close attention to this stuff), then I’m dropping them.

It doesn’t matter if they’re indie or corpo, since I don’t offer any slack on that account. It’s also why I watch way more corpo vtubers than indies, and why like 80% of “indies” I do watch are probably actually with a small corpo and I just didn’t know

I didn't really watch streamers before vtubers came around, so at first I just watched whatever was live.
I now have a preference for CREATIVIDAD/interesting streams from people with likable personalities and cute/unique voices. If you pointed me to a facecam streamer that does this I would probably watch them.

Once the model is up and running it's not like there is extra effort going into working on it unless they felt like upgrading/tweaking it.

Some chuubas did actually rig and/or draw their own model and for those ones yeah I'd cut them slack for handling several roles at once. If they commissioned it or were simply given it, no it's all on them to make the most of it with their streams. React shit is the bane of good content.
