Honestly, not much has changed for me. I still hang out with my friends occasionally, play video games, listen to music, read and go outside every now and then. I've quit doing drugs since I started watching vtubers, I guess.

pretty much no change; i still was a weeb and still was actively following streamers, females included. vtubers just kinda combined these two into one and not entirely for me because i still have my preferred non-chuuba male streamers.
the only real difference is that i never was actually considering learning japanese until i've come across vtubers.

I was starting to get filtered by the shit anime seasons around the beginning of the coof and it only went downhill from there. Once it hit in full force and I started to see my friends in person less often, I needed anime + parasocial relationships. Vtubers fit the bill at the time.
