i don't have many i think. I really only hate virtue signalers and too many bad (games i dont like) games. I can handle awkward, dead air chuubas more often than not, but i think that's because i usually have streams on picture-in-picture mode over my game screen and not giving them 100% attention. For bigger chuubas its one of those "so how are you guys today?" and you will see hundreds of comments just zip by and she will just go "oh no....oh damn...really? cool!". That said, unfortunately like 80% of the indie vtubers are on twitch. Unless you're the vtuber equivalent of a Microsoft or Apple fanboy and refuse to watch any good content creators outside the Approved Brand™, you'll be missing out on a lot pretty good indie streamers if you avoid Twitch. Especially the particularly niche or specialized streamers that would never make it in the corporate world due to not having a broad enough (e.g., lowest common denominator) appeal.

- Many people watch streams while doing something else on their computer. A high resolution stream takes up more computer resources, causing lag.
- Forcing 1080p is pointless anyways, since most computer monitors are 1080p. Most people won't actually view a stream in 1080p because they don't have it full screen, either for the above reason or to use chat. It's extra resources for wasted resolution.

If you have the option for transcoding streaming, use it. Then people can select the resolution that works best for them. If you can't transcode, don't force 1080p. 720 or 480 is enough.

For example, I have a standard, run of the mill 1920 x 1080 monitor. That itself is 1080p. I have two windows open, each taking up half the screen. One side is whatever I'm doing (internet, game, work, whatever) and the other is a stream. I might want to say something in chat, so I have the stream's chat interface open as well. That shrinks the actual stream down to 553 pixels wide. There is NO reason for my computer to be receiving and processing however many fps of 1920 x 1080 frames if it's only going to be actually displayed at 553 px, especially if that's going to start competing for the computer resources my other activity is trying to use.

Super small but specific thing, but wanting to find a vtuber of a different language group, and seeing that be a part of their thing. EN for the most part, with some very few exceptions. It's not even about JP being better, it's just that practicing a language is a core part of the vtuber experience to me.
Them going on for half an hour about a completely irrelevant subject nobody gives a shit about suddenly becomes very engaging if I'm learning new expressions and doing listening reps, and kanji reps with chat's help.
If anything, the fact that there's so much useless daily talk is exactly what makes it so effective, as opposed to something like anime or games that will keep going on about grandiose bullshit you'd never use in real life except as a joke.
