The VShojo thread is literally called vsj+ because they're very close to many different indies since they maintained their old identities after joining the company. There's less competition with Hololive than you think. Hololive is the entry point for people who were already weebs and were likely also into things like Vocaloid. Vshojo pulls entirely from the Twitch gaming audience and competes much more with Twitch live streamers (especially egirls). There's some overlap just because of how popular both the bigger Vshojos and HoloMyth are, but much less than the overlap between, say, Hololive and NijiEN (which, despite differing standards around cross-gender collabs and other things, is still oriented towards people who are already into otaku culture).
