They kinda had the opposite effect honestly, I couldn't stand the envious and vengeful feelings I got whenever I saw them have normal friendly interactions with each other (especially if it was mixed gender) and it finally gave me the drive I've been lacking for years to go out of my comfort zone and interact with different types of people, girls included, to try to experience that type of interaction for myself.

It's been slow, but I've met a few people I've clicked with as acquaintances so far, have had a few interesting experiences, and overall I'm in a far better and more confident mental state than I was a few weeks ago.
