The best way for that to happen is to do it yourself. Most vtuber koikatsu card makers were complete beginners before they started churning them out, including myself. You know your oshi best, so you can ensure the most care and attention to detail is given to make a card worthy of your oshi.

10-30% is the norm as far as small groups go. It's to keep people hooked (doesn't work all the time, clearly) so they stay and reap the benefits while still earning you money.

There's little to no real costs involved outside of the price of the Vtuber art assets since most of these smaller orgs are done as labors of love by artists, hobbyists, etc and have minimal paid staff to begin with so after the initial costs of assets, they aren't actually taking on any more additional costs. Once a gen pays themselves off or are close to it, fire up another then rinse and repeat.

I wish I knew why these people stayed on Youtube. I get starting there due to Hololarp and other mental illnesses, but do they not have their ear to the ground at all? Do they not pay attention to the scene and other streamers? So many people over the last year have moved from Youtube to Twitch, even Randon who was one of the biggest proponents had a whole stream talking about how worried he's been about staying around despite defending it for nearly a year. What real reason is there to not gradually move over?

I have a friend thats managed to get his youtube monetized but only averages around 10-20 viewers, and has only plateaued. I've tried to convince him to move to twitch and just use the youtube channel for edited stuff since his shorts and other things tend to get more views than his streams, but he wont do it.

they genuinely don't. most chuubas don't know what it takes to be a streamer. they only see the parts where a holo is live and think they can just replicate that without paying attention to 99% of the stuff that happens behind the scenes.

The stream he was own where he and another YT Vtuber spoke about it kinda made it seem that way, combined with what's basically sunken cost fallacy.

They're picky about stupid things and fail to see how Twitch is still better at getting a larger audience than streaming to YT is. They know they have to, they just don't want to for fairly silly reasons. Randon said he'd be going all out streaming compared to his maximum 3 per week he used to do, which looks like it's paying off because his goal is to speedrun partner.
