Obviously the lore Kronies are fine. I'm referring to the baid faith ones. You know who you are. I digress.

I doubt we'll have much success with gravity manipulation with vitubium. But it would be nice if we can create heavy lifting hovering machines somehow. Magnetic rails might be interesting. Though the more weight you want to carry the more energy you need.

>> No.19573559

>>19573434
could you use superconductivity as a form of levitation instead? it's magnetism, which might not be as space related as the curvature of space and time, but it still has a strong connection to physics and cosmology.

>> No.19574223

>>19573559
I'll have to look into it. If we can get anything that hovers then it should help carrying stuff over the tundra.

>> No.19574706

>>19574223
isn't the magnetic force technically stronger than the gravitational force though both are weaker than the weak and strong nuclear forces. superconductivity probably wouldn't let you carry massive structures, but if i am not mistaken, someone in japan was thinking about making a train using superconductivity to keep the train off the tracks, making it far easier to move, and thus faster. if you guys set up a sort of cold, magnetic highway, you might be able to haul fairly large structures with that process if you needed to. the problem would be the cost of keeping it cool which, from a physics perspective, is really just how to keep it from getting any warmer so you would probably want to only use it occasionally for the big loads you absolutely can't move yourself.

>> No.19575308

>>19574706
As long as we can use it for light loads without using too much power and thus generating heat it should be fine. We're not looking for full on freight trains. We're looking for something to haul loads of flour and ore quickly over a long distance. Though if it requires 4th industrial revolution technology then we're out of luck. 3rd industrial tech maybe possible. It really depends on how we can wire the power supply.

depending on how efficient the energy usage of chuubanite is, you might be able to have an energy generation system that doesn't produce much heat, which could keep magnets cold enough for superconductivity, pretty sure the rentry made it seem like tjat wouldn't work, though.

Both mourns and celebrations can be heard throughout Sakuran today, the night before the Shrine Priestess' birthday, as she bestowed upon the High Priests a devastating oracle. Though cryptic as always, said oracle seemed to imply that the differences between the Sakuran and Pekoland deities are yet to be resolved, further straining the already distanced relationship of the two nations. Though some final hope had remained for the PekoMiko supporters both in Sakuran and the neighboring MiComet zone, the words received today seem to have cause many believers to lose their faith. On the other hand, 35p that disliked the PekoMiko faction, many of them MiComet supporters, started celebrating, often harassing coping PekoMiko passersbys. These altercations were used as an excuse by the residents of the MiComet zone to go on yet another rampage, wrecking havoc in nearby nations, even boarding international vessels to spread their own propaganda. This, in turn, caused the revolt of the small number of remaining PekoMiko residents of the MiComet zone refer to >>19409616, anchoring >>19570746 this btw, since Hoshiyomia didn't seem to answer, if someone can put it under micomet that'd be great, as well as some Fandead refugees that moved into the zone the past few weeks after the Necromancer's fall from grace, who performed numerous raids locally. However, things seem to be already calming down at a good pace, and preparations for the festival in honor of the Shrine Priestess are proceeding as normal.

Aaas I was saying, in other news, a wealthy Sakuran merchant das me has recently donated a significant amount of materials to the land of Horni, as a gesture of friendship. I maintain a mega in that thread, recent update is >>19467588, do visit if you want to take some edge off. Been away for a couple of days, was feeling a bit burned out. Anything significant happen in the last thread? Two matters I wanna put forth right now are, the exchange of rose and nijikr and the exchange of mion and fbk. No trades on minerals until we know what we have locally. Space station scrap is not for sale until we know we can secure the metal from local or close sources. I have a hunch the chuubanite I'm looking for with the properties I want is meteorite. Judging from the geology report from the crater we have found buried meteorites where we landed. Now this doesn't mean that an extinction event happened. But there was a meteor shower where many of the meteorites hit the ground. They're really tiny meteorites. But they'll be useful when we dig them up.

Republic Owl/ Respublika Filin / Republique Hibou / 共和国 ワシミミズク
And it's Navy.

The Republic's strategy and naval doctrine is dictated by the large port that it uses for imports and exports alongside it's relatively small coastline in comparison to it's neighbours, unable to build up a Navy due to the early wars of the Republic's existence, it is only recently that the naval wing of the armed forces has been established.
Seeing these constraints, the Navy was built up to mainly wage a commerce war, where the ships will be used to interrupt the logistics of the enemy, raid their shipping, and divert the enemy's attention to prevent any blockade from hitting the Republic. Winning every small battle and eventually whittling down the enemy to cripple their naval war capacity while mantaining the integrity of ours.
The ships used are heavy frigates created to pack as much of a punch as they can while still being fast enough to avoid the enemies fighting fleet, in short, increasing the individual strenght of every ship to counteract the smaller numbers of the fleet, in addition to all these points, the use of carronades allows the Navy to also increase the firepower of the ships.
The scientific approach to war and other aspects of the world, prompted by the cult of reason gaining so many followers in the political system of the republic, means that despite a lack of experience in naval warfare doctrine development and work on naval theory has sped up inmensely. This also means that the Republic is very willing to invest in more experimental affairs and ships, such as the submersible prototypes for coastal defence, the use of iron and steel to protect the ships, and the use of alternate power sources for use on the ships and allowing complete independence from sail, althought most of these have shown themselves to still be too expensive for mass production.

The current alliance with Hoshiyomia, the strongest naval power in the western coast of the continent has also allowed the Navy to gain experience and technique, along with joint development for new naval and astronomical technology.

true, but would she graduate? if she were forcefully graduated, would she not be reborn into a new vessle to continue streaming? if she truly doesn't enjoy streaming, is it not unfair to her to force her to stream for your pleasure? the things that will happen in the future will happen according to the answers to these questions, but regardless, it will be your choice in how you deal with them.

>>19604103
i say that would be fine. if you want, you could justify it in lore by saying that they discovered a way to fly without their god, and that many were lost since they crashed into /vt/land, or you could also say that they were integrated into /vt/land, and learned to let go of their old systems, while helping to discover new ones with the natives. so many options you could take besides saying they all died. but then the question is whether or not they would want it that way.

The Mozzies have successfully sown seeds of doubt. We are dealing with the possible reality of Sana choosing her day job over streaming. Sana is either not streaming because she can't or she doesn't want to. And Mozzies say Sana hates streaming and doesn't care about her fans. Whether or not this is or is not propaganda it is successful at demoralizing /nasa/. And I'm going to write this into lore because this brings /nasa/ into 5th generational warfare. Which is a war fought with propaganda and influence. Interesting lore.

It was originally meant to respond to one of the prompts, but it kinds of become an explanation of a semi-fictional ballgame:

People of /meat/ are archetypically interested in extreme sports and blood sports, chief among which is a native ballgame commonly called the /meat/ ballgame (tlachtli or knottleikr). It is played between two teams of players of varying but usually equal numbers. Traditionally played in an elongated field dug out from the ground and surrounded by stone walls, players are armed with wooden sticks with a bent spoon-like hook (think hurley) called the serpent axe (coatlateconi or ormox), where the goal is to deliver a leather ball to the end of the opposite side of the field. Hitting the wall at the ends of the field above waist-height scores one point for the team, where the ball is set back to the middle. In some games, a stone head is rested upon a headless statue at the top of each end. The team that can knock the head off the statue of the other team instantly wins the game, although the height and the relatively small target make such victory rare.

It is illegal to hit other players' bodies with one's own body or the serpent axe, although hitting them with the ball or crossing the axes is legal and very common during the game. As such, players are often seen equipped with light armour usually made of leather and padded cotton when playing the game. Despite that, due to the force often delivered through the ball, bruises and injuries are common among the players, and there are reports of players being killed during the game.

The ballgame is known to have religious significance for the /meat/ cult. It is a common staple of major festivals, often keeping people entertained between ritual sacrifices, and parts of a game, such as the ball and the head on statues, is replaced by remains of sacrifices. The outcome of the games sometimes play a role in subsequent sacrifices as well, as players deemed too injured to be healed are sometimes sacrifices in recognition of their performance. The ballgame also plays a military role, as variants are often played by /meat/ soldiers as part of their training, and the use of serpent axe and ball in the game is often seen as a reflection of their common weapons and tactics.

If need be, a slave-taking and spoil-looting raid on /morig/ might be in order, our navy's not that advanced in shipbuilding (except our cannons) but we have many experienced sailors and marines; hitting them with a pincer assault designed to maximize economic damage may work--we'd have to land infantry elements from one AND ONLY ONE of the Utanic or Alchemilic Tagmata for coastal operations, but we will need to build another dozen open-sea transport ships to do so. If this happens, the tagma chosen will dispatch their 2nd hyperpyrores tourma, 1st and 3rd kleisouraphylakes tourmai, 8th and 12th banda of sfyriotai, and ALL of the rectrikioi. 3600 troops, who will sweep the northern half of the island IN FORCE, resupply and reinforce at the initial beach-head, (in the form of two more sfyriotai banda and two more steadfaster tourmai), before joining the nijimale forces in storming and plundering the capital. Two days to recuperate and pack everything up, and skedaddle.

We'll need faster escorts and a bigger, badder capitol ship, first.

Deadbeat loveslaves are highly sought after commodity in the Serene Republic, so buying them off cheaply from /meat/ and other powers and selling them at much higher prices to lonely plutocrats would be a great opportunity make some profits!

Having someone around to load off some of the captives while /meat/ focus on shipping the more ritually valuable ones in exchange of money sounds like a pretty nice idea.

As a Sakuran mentioned earlier, there were some Fandead refugees in the MiComet zone that were performing local raids.
It could be the case that once a chuuba graduates, depending on the way they do, the land they represent is consumed by a large scale natural disaster that leaves the land a wasteland and its people dead or displaced. The other option may be a coup d'etat that brings down the current political and/or religious leaders and replaces them and the religion of the land with something else.
I'd say deaths of citizens are viewers who permanently leave the hobby after the graduation of their oshi, refugees are fans that are waiting the shit storm out until their thread calms down enough to return to it (if it doesn't collapse completely), immigrants are fans that changed oshi, while an amount probably stays in their land and tries to survive. In the case that the graduated chuuba reincarnates, it is possible the remaining fans, as well as refugees and immigrants from previously, gather again and establish a different nation with a different (yet the same) deity.
I'd say the Rushia thread went through a storm of cataclysmic scale after her fall from grace, killing many, displacing others, while the remaining faithful are waiting to receive news of her reincarnation. Its not like the land is empty and ripe for the taking, the people will still put up a fight, but they are weakened.

Cold. It's Cold.
Here in the furthest North of the material world, far beyond the mountains of the Rrat Monks. Far beyond the ivory towers of the Spacemen.
The sun shone all day for half a year, and hid in the other. The pitch black darkness accompanied only by the winds. And the lights in the sky.
He scratched the fur on his back, longing for the sun to return. The fishes are all eaten. Only lard left. He needs to find food soon.
With a thud, he slowly lift the stone to his tunnel.
The air is still. The blizzard died. For now.
He pushes the stone aside, and crawl out of his domain. Net in tow.
Grabbing the rock, he pulled it back over the entry. Covering it under snow for concealment.
The hulking figure stretched his fuzzy arms and scratch the dust off his fur.
With only the wavy lights in the sky and the blinking stars to guide his way, he set off to the nearest coast.
Merely a stone throw from his home, the snow troll looks up in the sky.
A flash, colours not of this world. No. Not now. Not yet!
But his pleas were unanswered. The gods were deaf to his prayers. They always were.
Frightened, he fell onto the snow, shivering and whimpering.
The visions have begun.
Flashes of memories. Sights he had never seen before.
Of a green haired goddess, swearing vengeance on her Pantheon.
Of a minor Pantheon attempting to disgrace one of theirs.
Of a free rebellious, once draconic, goddess, vowing to save her friends.
Of a the feelings of a primordial goddess, the Great Mother of all, now silent.
And of a goddess of a major Pantheon, mistakenly revealing the secrets of her brothers and sisters.
The troll did not spoke their languages. The troll had never prayed to them. The troll only knows his small world in this frozen darkness.
But he knew everything. What they meant. What they are. What they will do to the worshippers of this world.
Their true names. Their true powers. Their true nature.
Knowledge that he is cursed unable to share to anyone.
Slowly, he lifts himself up. He needs to get food quickly, before the next blizzard rolls in.
He stares back at the lights in the sky.
He only wanted to live in ignorance.

Also I think I have an idea for a subterranean garden. You have sun catchers on the surface that absorb sunlight into sunstones. The sunstones give sunlight underground which allows flora to grow. Also because the flora and algae are growing underground there's pleanty of oxygen as well. Though you do have to set up heat vents as to not melt too much permafrost, which could cause the tunnels to collapse.

I thought about it last thread but thread died before response.

Hello, /vtwbg/

I have been selected to speak on behalf of /∞/ in lieu of archivebud who is currently away.
I would like to first start out by apologizing for the behavior of /∞/ that has transpired within the past 24 hours. Various third party schizos attempted to influence policy in /∞/ and they dragged in innocent countries, like /yeah/, into their warring. We are currently working on sorting out these problems in private with the intention of making sure they do not happen in the future.

As a result, we are taking a temporary hiatus from these threads and if anyone makes future posts claiming they are from /∞/ before our internal matters are resolved, they should be considered a false flag and ignored.

I would also like to personally apologize to /yeah/ for having been dragged into this sitution that was of no fault of their own. And also say that their patience through this has been exemplary and will not be forgotten.
I again apologize for /∞/'s behavior and after reforms are properly in place, we hope to be much better participants in this game.
Thank you for your time.

Signed,
A Map Maker Kronie.

Republic Owl/ Respublika Filin / Republique Hibou / 共和国 ワシミミズク
Regarding food stuffs

The Republic's main consumption is potatoes and meat. The potatoes were found in the hills the land and mass farmed to assist the logistical difficulties that the Republic faced in its early wars, the potato managed to keep starvation away thanks to ease of planting in any terrain, large yield resuls, and its high nutritional value.
Meat on the other hand remained a harder to produce product, as the wars didn't allow for much cattle to be farmed or imported. After the wars thought, both potato and meat production were focused on and increased in order to properly feed the population, the preferred meat is cattle and goats, these two animals can easily survive in the hilly terrain of the lands, althought goats are a lot more free-range than the cattle is. The export of meat to other states aside from those directly neighbouring the Republic only recently took off due to the difficulties in mantaining it cool in long trips be it across sea travel or through land.
Other crops aside from potatoes does exist to lesser degree, mainly wheat which is used for bread baking, small amounts of sugar beet for local sugar production, gathering berries is often done as a communal activity by many of the Republic's rural areas. Experiments with cash crops generally failed due to climate and terrain corncerns.
The Republic does not hold the need to import food, it is the exporting nation for its neighbours, although rarer foods and crops are often brought by the richer citizens that wish to try more exotic food and by researchers that are looking to study and improve the agricultural production of the nation. The diet for the average citizen of the Republic is healthy and varied enough to avoid any malnutrition problems.
Typical etiquette for eating is considered informal and flexible, as long as you eat the right stuff and don't make a mess no one will tell you anything, often workers will have mid-work lunches so that they can re-energize in the middle of the day. This also traduces itself to the political upper class, as most will simply sit down along with friends or family and eat what they've prepared without paying much attention to proper etiquette. It is to be mentioned however that most people will not speak at all during their meals.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refrigerator#History
>before the invention of the modern electric refrigerator, icehouses and iceboxes were used to provide cool storage for most of the year. Placed near freshwater lakes or packed with snow and ice during the winter, they were once very common. Natural means are still used to cool foods today. On mountainsides, runoff from melting snow is a convenient way to cool drinks, and during the winter one can keep milk fresh much longer just by keeping it outdoors. The word "refrigeratory" was used at least as early as the 17th century.

>The history of artificial refrigeration began when Scottish professor William Cullen designed a small refrigerating machine in 1755. Cullen used a pump to create a partial vacuum over a container of diethyl ether, which then boiled, absorbing heat from the surrounding air. The experiment even created a small amount of ice, but had no practical application at that time.

I wasn't blaming all of /yeah/ though. You can see in those same posts that I said the schizo is to blame for instigating. This is the same as when he instigated Kronies to shit up /vtwbg/ because of the island crap. Both threads fucked up in those cases but they're not to blame.

The schizo powerlevel required to think all this shitposting is caused by a single guy is at least equal to the schizo powerlevel such a person would have to have to actually do so. In other words, while what you are saying may be true, said schizo hangs around your thread because he's found his peers.

It was a rash decision I made to end the shitstorm about it here and on infinity. I skimmed infinity, which had put everything to polls as we always do, but I saw the guy who normally says I'm weak in the face of "international interference" organizing just that, so I made an immediate response then went to sleep. Waking up to see more of the story, I regret that decision and want to undo it.

Given your decision was based almost entirely on you getting baited and not a poll, why don't you just revert things to what they originally were and then conduct a poll asking if things should be changed? It feels like both /infinity/ and /yeah/ are on the hook for what you're done.

>> No.19684775

>>19684154
>But our schizos only shit up our own thread except for him, except when they riotes against Neufag because of him
And the other times after that.
Anon, what I'm saying is that the only reason the shitposter is succeeding in shitposting is because other kronies share at least some of his opinions. You can claim it's just one guy but to me, and others in this general, it is evident that more often that not it has been more than one. Therefore, I cannot accept you (plural) pushing all the responsibility to one person, even if that's the story you're pushing. I'm afraid to say that he/they have, at the very least, succeeded in tarnishing your credibility.

>> No.19684820

I agree with this, the fact that the schizo was able to influence him into taking rash action and his first response isn't to immediately undo what he did is troubling.

He genuinely did try to have a poll raided, not sure on the success on that but given the high engagement compared to our other polls... I digress. >I don't want to believe there's two of them.
Believe it Groomerbud. You got so easily trolled into thinking Nijishill was me and used your personal bias to act as the justification to attack an innocent Nijisanji country. I did it to prove you're unqualified to be our leader, because unlike you, I put the interests of /∞/ first. Your bias, like Nuetralfags, is extremely clear too because in your original letter, you were attacking /haha/. I didn't even need to use a Selen avatar, like the Nijishill does, and you still assumed it was me. And since you're trying to track me through words, I bet if I used terms like 'chunnie' or 'unilateral', you'd think I was those people too unless I told you the truth.

Let what happened here be a reminder to /vtwbg/ that Groomerbud is not only easily manipulated. But he's just as biased as Nuetralfag, and like Nuetralfag, unfit to be a leader.

And a fun fact, he's called Groomerbud because he tried to groom a high school girl Kronie on twitter. Remember that's the type of company you're keeping here /vtwbg/.
