Hi there namefag, I’m pretty sure it’s not 5 due to the fact Pekora is straight as a board. If I have to think of a reason it could be a mix of Pekora being an autist and ignoring messages until it became a problem and caused a rift between them (Miko trying to communicate and Peko being unresponsive/ignoring her) and also that people expect so much from them that Pekora doesn’t want to stream with Miko so she doesn’t let down her viewers. We know for a fact Pekora likes planning collabs that are entertaining and she has said that when it comes to collabs she does have a hard time coming up with good stuff, and since people only expect greatness when they think of a PekoMiko collab Pekora just doesn’t want to do them anymore in case she fails and disappoints everyone, she probably told Miko she didn’t want to do 1-1 collabs due to the fans going nuts too much and Miko might’ve taken it personally, this causing the rift. At least this is what I believe judging from just how anxious/uncomfortable she seemed while talking about it.

It was a big deal to Mikochi that Pekora even rested her head on her shoulder just a few months prior, and while that could be played up for the audience, Pekora seems to be one of the only girls who doesn't like Yuri baiting at all and is probably as straight as it gets in Hololive.

Miko has no issue mentioning Pekora and has done so multiple times this year, it's Pekora that's autistically rejecting Miko's existence

seeing as they also aren't on bad terms seeing their limited interactions in 2021, there are a few theories one can come up with

- They had a fight or falling out, mended things but it's not the same as it used to be (this could have been Pekora lashing out about her project being cancelled for example)
- Something awkward happened that spoiled the relationship but not irreparably (for example Miko making a move on Pekora during sleepover)
- Behind the scenes bullshit drama, management interfering (this seems unlikely to me but it's not impossible)

Whatever it may be, something has made them more distant than they used to be. That's just life, sometimes you go in different directions and find new friends or groups to hang out with. Sometimes a "perfect" friendship can be ended with one sentence

In Mikochi's menehara days is one her talking about Peko inviting her out all the time and her turning her down but then being upset because others girls got to feel up Peko.

But Miko was definitely off. But the next day literally over the moon because Suisei was the first caller. And after that no more PekoMiko and MiComet blossomed bringing it into the impromptu one block of PekoMari where Senchou last minute was asked to do it and during the one block joking about being a business relationship ( aka MiComet big shtick) then notable was Mikos first night in her new place tweeting she was lonely and Peko rting that beautiful sad Christmas Peko then going on almost 10 long RT spree to cover it. Which to be fair a lot of it could be jealous about losing her best friend but it doesn't explain the before MiComet rise.
