My only reasonable explanation is that she's doing a shitload of art at the moment for the upcoming festival. She's a professional grade illustrator and wants to keep that seperate to her vtubing persona so I could see Cover having her do art for promos/merch under her artist name while her vtuber side never comments on it in order to keep them divided.
