What's with Vtubers completely overreacting to their colleagues leaving/being fired? Have these people actually had another job before this or were they all bums mooching off their parents? Like seriously, what's with all these people cancelling their streams and stuff (mainly EN) when they're just colleagues that don't even see each other most of the time?

What is it with EOPs constantly overestimating the EN members' Japanese abilities?

Just check out Calli's latest Japanese Q&A video, she constantly fucks up a lot of Kanji readings, including very basic ones like 今後, 髪型, she would have trouble passing that part of N4 probably.

I don't want to downplay it either, she knows enough colloquial and situational Japanese to get by very well, I think her pronunciation is alright, but the overwhelming amount of EN/JP interactions are very superficial and are basically an exchange of set phrases. Of course you can "have a conversation", but it won't be that deep. Calli even admits this herself all the time, but it seems people love to ignore that and pretend she mastered the Nihongo.

You can't learn Japanese.
