I thought about that too, but since it seems the consensus is that gods in /vtwbg/ only manifest themselves in the mortal realm if they're /here/. Since in most cases, including this one, they're probably never here, let alone /here/, we're unlikely to get her actual body even if her remaining fans aren't in the way.
For the short story, I opted for a different approach from the usual unwilling sacrifice. I want to show something different, and at least a part of me think having an unwilling sacrifice right now might be a bit tasteless (heh).
My idea comes from seeing some of her fans on Discord saying they give her their heart and now they have a hole in their heart. I guess my mind opted for a more literal mental image, and it just goes naturally from there.
I imagine we might have some rituals that can channel some of the essences from the goddess since they're deposed and thus more vulnerable (perhaps). The body of the sacrifice is also altered to look like the target goddess, both for aesthetics and maybe to make the rituals more effective. Maybe the idea's that once enough rituals are done, all the essences from the chuuba are channeled from the heavenly realm, and thus it counts as the same as being consumed literally.

in many mythologies, gods gain their power from faith and worship. a man, if worshiped sufficiently, may become a god. it's only natural, then, that a god who loses their faithful will become no different than a man. this is the time /meat/ strikes, when the difference between a god and a man is so little, that a mortal could /become/ the god. gods being conceptual means a mortal who is sufficiently similar to the gods can /become/ that god, especially in the prescence of as many people as described in your story. this means their life and the life of the god they are /becom/ing are intertwined. torturing, killing, and eating them at this stage has the potential to kill the god outright, allowing us to return them to the cycle. in addition, i figure there would be a few other ways to bring down a god to the mortal realm, this means that even gods who are killed not by a lack of faith or worship, but who are instead struck down by other gods (in this case, cover) can become a sacrifice as well. it all depends on the strength of the god in question at the time. this story has some good potential. i can't wait to see more theorycrafting and worldbuilding branching off of this. good work!

It's hard to tell which cosmology /vtwbg/ runs on, but given the nature of the goddess in question, it's safe to say that there's still enough worship around to make taking the literal goddess as sacrifice difficult, hence the essence channeling method being a way to slowly wiggle down the chuuba's heavenly presence.
Another reason I opted for that method is that since it means it'll take multiple channeling to fully consume a goddess, it means that the same chuuba can be sacrificed and consumed multiple times, which opens up possibilities for others to write about it and make all of them canon.

Our military would be up to the industrial era, with steam engines, rifled firearms, ironclads, and gunboats. However we have a smaller standing army than most and keep to ourselves to balance out how advanced we are, kek Our territory is cold so we might wear furs and thick coats for our uniforms.

/ourobros/ would be similar to us, but with less weaponry and are even fewer in numbers. The actual fag who keeps trying to split us, Jesse, is a schizo, so his army would also be less organized. Honestly, /infinity/ could take them out themselves but not without losses, and would also want to instill fear in them by hiring /meat/ instead.

The warzone would be snowy, close to our northmost island where we imprison schizos. It might be well defended with stolen equipment, so maybe one /infinity/ gunboat opens up a salvo on their defenses before /meat/ rolls in to the coast and tears them apart.

Updated map proposal, this time with place names!
I named the two smaller settlements. Geroberg is basically a reference of >>19071940, but it also helps that gero apparently means lust or desire in Proto-Germanic (and thus should look about the same in Norse), while berg means hill or cliff. Hence, we can probably justify it as the horni cliff. For Saudrapan, it comes from saudr (Norse for sheep, although in Gothic it also means sacrifice, conveniently enough) and -apan (Nahuatl suffix for place near water). Some sacrifices are probably done here in addition to major cities, so that the nutrients added into the Blood River are distributed more evenly.
The stars are lighthouse/fort/altar dedicated to some of our goddesses, although I leave out the names for now to avoid cluttering. Clockwise their patron goddesses are: Kyusai-chan, Akira, Comma and Mai.

I think all of them are worshipped to some degree, with different culture/social status/job/need leaning more towards worshipping goddesses with fitting themes. My idea for the lighthouse-altar is that they're meant more for pilgrims who are unusually dedicated to a particular goddess, or someone who *really* needs a specific blessing. Naturally, there're more than 4 altars in the land, just that these 4 are the most prominent.

We're not in /infinity/, but regarding the tech spread issue, I can think of two potential answers, one specific to /meat/ and one more general.
The specific reason is entailed >>19076413, basically /infinity/'s tech does not fit what we want to do, so we don't have reason to sabotage the business relations to get it.
For the more generalised reason, I think /infinity/'s more advanced machines (in a very general sense, thus including guns and stuff) require high precision to make, meaning that they're difficult to replicate at a speed that would be practical. Sure, a master /meat/craftsman might be able to replicate /infinity/ gun, but that would be pretty much pointless if the rate of production is like 3/year, where the same time can be spent on making many more primitive weapons that will be more useful combined.

Some thoughts I have:
The main (non-human) material we will have for clothes probably will be hemp or sisal. Given the climate we're in, our fashion probably will resemble Maya more than Aztec (although they're fairly similar), so commoner/lower class people will likely wear little more than loincloths and blouse/cape.
Leathers generally don't last long in a tropical environment, but before they rot they're reasonably comfortable. Their integrity compared with hemp clothes mean in addition to aesthetics, they'll also work well as accessories like belts. Boiled leather is more resilient, although it's also pretty rigid, so probably more suitable for armour or elaborate pieces than usual garments.

On a somewhat related note, other plants we likely will have (in addition to cocoa mentioned before) are the Three Sisters (maize, beans and squash), although cassava and even rice should be possible too. While the Three Sisters should contain enough nutrition for people to survive on it exclusively, maize's general lack of lysine and tryptophan (which would be supplemented with beans and squash) can serve as another reason why eating meat is a common thing in /meat/.

On a somewhat similar note, I think another potential disadvantage /infinity/ might have is inefficiency. I don't think /infinity/ is large enough for size to be an issue given its tech level, but since it seems they're going for a more authoritarian system, enforcing it would likely require divine intervention (unlikely) or a lot of effort to monitor people. If anything, an inefficient authoritarian state might actually be somewhat free since there just aren't enough enforcers to keep everyone in check.

Each brigade would have both a kombrig and something of a political officer, in this case, a clergy that gives out orders in the name of the religion of /meat/, sometimes contradicting the kombrig's orders.
I could make an actual organization of battle on /meat/'s army when I have the time, but please keep in mind this is all very much abstract.
