Man, in retrospect it wouldn't even have been that difficult to make this whole thing go away quickly. The best thing she could have done would have been to dismiss the message immediately as it happened, just say something like "I can't play Apex right now, I'm streaming! Sorry about that, a friend DM'd me". There would have been some grumbling about her having a male friend but it would have settled down relatively quickly.
If she panicked or genuinely didn't notice the message at the time then she should have given the friend explanation immediately after the stream, or at the latest she should have done it around the same time Mafu did it. Either way this really long silence is the worst course of action, it just makes her look so guilty that can't even come up with an excuse.
