I've heard complaints about speed from others and that being a reason they don't participate in the aggie/chat, but nothing about preferring user limits, due to worries of people being left out. Different perceived styles of conversation. Aggie/gc is a chat room and threads are a forum. I'm sure there is some sort of term to describe this sort of perceived difference but I don't know it. I personally think the 30 person cap is dumb but that has no real relation to me just not enjoying talking with large groups of people.

They are different forums of communication, yes, that point is a little bad of me. I get not wanting to talk with large groups of people, but I'm not sure what really changes for (You) by having a GC instead of an aggie if that's your issue, as both still have the same people (for the most part) talking in it and a decent amount of people likely reading your every message, even if not chatting in both the aggie and GC. I'm just not really understanding the difference in your head when it comes to the amount of people in the aggie versus the GC. The raw theoretical number is larger on site, yes, but that's also disingenuous to say that every person trading is actively at their nasfaq window too and reading the chat if that's your fear. If you enjoyed the partial privacy the aggie offered by being offsite and capped user count, that makes sense, but it also devolves into the idea of not being "in" something due to those user caps and offsiteness, but if you wish for that exclusivity, there's just worries of users being unjustly left out, and we go into the us vs them argument as well.

There can be up to around possibly 100 different people looking at the chat at once. Sorry, but human behaviour doesn't always make lots of sense. It is what it is. Whether there is that many or even over 30 looking at the chat at once is actually irrelevant. There is a possibility of a large number of people just looking at the chat and possibility chatting in it and thus I don't find talking in it enjoyable or comfortable. I don't enjoy chatting in chat rooms with large amounts of people chatting and nor do I enjoy chat rooms that have lots of eyes on it.

There are others at other points of days, but only those individuals who have parenthesis after them mentioned here, I don't recall instances of them talking in the aggie. There are newer chatters there that have never talked in the past in the aggie to my knowledge, mainly newfags, but some others as well, but from my experience it is still largely the same posters.
