Is it difficult to get their permissions ?

Japanese autism means they need paperwork signed by the company giving explicit permission to stream their game while monetized. Japanese autism also means there are companies like Capcom who will refuse to give those permissions without being paid.

it can be, most companies aren't really expecting to have to fax some japanese autist a paper saying they can stream their game and don't have streamlined channels for doing so, and it's pretty much impossible for a lot of retro games trying to track down whoever has the rights for it.

like when mori wanted permission for persona, atlus was like "uh, we weren't preventing anyone from streaming our games...?"

It's difficult for Cover, but I don't think this dev's/publisher's too stingy in giving permissions since it's western. Capcom's just one of the few black sheep in the permissions game, same with FromSoftware.

You can tell when they get new permissions because they're all so starved for games other than APEX and Clubhouse 51 that they all stream it at once

The western Atlus rep didn’t know shit, Cover was already in negotiations with the JP branch. Did you even read the article retard?

Funnily Holo has shown me how popular some western games are over there. /v/ would make you believe they never play any computer game that hasn't been folded over 5000 times by artisan Japanese developers.
