Just resize the chatbox and window. The aggie looks cleaner and is (I think) less laggy/buggy.

Because it proves your point about nobody on this 'side' making one.

I'll be honest, I didn't even consider that when I was trying to find an OP. I just wanted something relevant and not from the past few weeks. Sorry.

Anyways, I can't really "argue" PFPs and DMs because that's a matter of taste and/or convenience. The lag every 15 minutes, fine. Sorry, I didn't have much to >>>> with anonymous casual talk. I meant that you can talk casually AND anonymously in the aggie. Offtopic can go there without concern for identity, whereas in the global chat you cannot hide your username. Global chat (maybe?) subconsciously encourages game talk because it's on the website. In the aggie, there's considerably less game talk usually because it's separate, I can't really prove it, it just feels that way. Having lurked both, I have come to this conclusion. It's not based on bias, but experience. With regard to whispers, you really can just click their name and bam, you're whispering. If someone is 'anonymous' and wants to be whispered, they can just be told to change their name temporarily to something like 'anonnymous' and there wouldn't be a problem. They would still be anon, it's not like it's an automatic profile doxx.
>>18458560
>really, really, really dumb anon.
Maybe I am, and if I am, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have even made this argument because it's shit up the thread. I thought it was necessary, I felt strongly about it at the beginning. Now I just want to stop causing problems. Are you tired of this discussion? Would you like this to end?

>Global chat (maybe?) subconsciously encourages game talk because it's on the website. In the aggie, there's considerably less game talk usually because it's separate
Part of this is also that global chat is in the game so everyone can see it, even the people that don't use the thread, whereas the aggie is just people from the thread that specifically want to use the aggie.
I like the global chat but I do prefer the aggie for this reason.

I imagine the other Anon actually arguing against the global chat would also be arguing against the aggie, in this case. I thought it was all "global chat will kill the thread" but you were "global chat is lame, I like the aggie" without any "kills the thread" subtext.
For what it's worth, I don't think the aggie is going anywhere. And yes, I would miss you, even if you do shit up the thread sometimes or even if I don't like ERP in the thread.

If you know, you know. I didn't intend to be rude to anybody, I just think the aggie is a better alternative even if it is a bit more intensive. The global chat has problems, which I have listed. I don't want to bring those points up again. I like the aggie being up on weekends, it strikes a good balance between thread and off-thread that is entirely separated from the game. I don't want to see the aggie in its current form disappear at all. I will make no further arguments or dispute anything.
I don't erp, but thank you.

I do know that applies to me as well. A decent amount of features, fixes, and ideas have come from discussions where I/we tried to understand each others so the discussions would continue and mix their opinion with what I have in mind so we could understand each other more and for us to reach a conclusion that would be alright with us and be better for the game
I would say two of the people or avatarfags I remember being really great to talk to or have a discussion with are Konnui, and NenePro. They actually try to understand others' point while still giving their own idea unlike that one person, who I will not name who is the most egoistic person here, it's almost impossible to make your point across to that person, and it's still true till this day

The only difference back then is I know we're trying to have a proper discussion, my tone isn't like this, not mocking each others' post or point they're trying to make, with the exceptions of people shouting timeloop and armchair devs, people are more open to discussions, and is trying to reach something for the game, unlike now where it's just two sides of people defending something, for example, off-topic, and people wanting off-topic gone

>>18457275
I don't need to post any actual argument because all of the things I have said weren't even because of this current arguement. It's all from my experience of trying to discuss varying thread matters with you people
I'm mostly out of this topic anyway. I have already said what I think of this current matter in his first post, and I already know how this current matter will end. I merely cheered the "schizo" you people are calling after being in his position for a good amount of times

All stuff that sheds new light to previous discussion(s), specifically to his posts in the last thread.

Understanding the other is an integral part of having a fruitful argument, thus anything that sheds light on the other person, especially to the reasons behind their actions and why they hold the opinions they do is useful.
Without the willingness and effort to understand the context one the other persons opinions all argumentation devolves into what is essentially just two or more people shouting their opinions while refusing to hear what anyone else is saying, while getting frustrated over no one agreeing with them. That is madness. I do not like madness. I like conversation.

While what you say is reasonable on the surface, consider the context: that poster had no arguments. There was no discussion to be had. He literally stated outright that he no longer has to read or discuss anything because he 'knows better'. He basically blocked himself from any 'conversation' from the very start.
Also, I'm sorry that you have to try to pitifully defend yourself while trying to pose as another anon, it's very pathetic. Typing style is a dead giveaway here.

We all do get sad when a longtime player leaves, but is it really just them we should be sad at? I will remember the players who left during the time we slowly turned into an ERP thread, and the players who I used to talk in-game ideas with.
I know I can't govern 4chan, it's this thread I'm trying to stay on-topic, or was trying.
I do agree with the good discussion we had at the last thread, which is why I was behaved until I felt the needed not to.

Sorry, but, I will consider other people's opinions or ideas, but circlejerk is something I wouldn't. Entering one also requires you to lose your own opinions to meld into the circle. I came here for the 4chan thread and game and only that.

Hmm, alright then. I suppose I will try with something - from your posts, I gather that you have looked at the historical market data. I am unsure how far back you have looked, or whether you were here during it, but recently there seems to be less days where a 'Susan' happens, to one coin or most of the market. It used to be a semi-common occurrence, especially for some coins (Mori), but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Rarely does a coin get 0 views based purely off API input, and the data between POI and Nasfaq seems to be fairly consistent lately.

Is it purely due to changes on Youtube's end? How do does that the lack of 'purely red' days affects the market and player mentality?

I hadn't actually noticed this before you mentioned it, but yeah, what you are saying seems to be true.
I'm a retard when it comes to tech so any guess is better than mine on your first question.
As for your second question, I do feel like the lack of purely red days does affect the general market mentality, especially among the richer players. Unless the richer players are willing to give up on trading, the lack of red days forces them to buy worse Divs ROI% coins, sometimes even those that are at or above their average prices. This likely explains why a lot of the richer players were buying Holocoin last week. Despite the coin being up, it was still one of the best Divs ROI% coins available. I recall a Rushia poster was wondering about this back then.
This likely also drives coin prices up, contributing to the coin value inflation, and dividend ROI% deflation.

I'm very interested in hearing your and other folks' opinions on this.

I'm pretty sure he's talking more about the improper counting of views that happens with channels like Mori, as for a period of time, she wasn't participating in the Brap cycle and was surprisingly stable without any of those true Susan days. My rrat on this has long been the fact it's due to how CCV tracking was done, as during the huge fiesta about CCV, I'm pretty sure (might be wrong) that Mori wasn't fluctuating as hard, but since they've started to fix that CCV bug (or at least attempt to), Mori's braps have returned.
The general disappearance of Susaning across the board is likely API changes and honk's supposed new scraper, so I do agree with your general point though.

All a harsher red day does is help dividend players since then they can accumulate more and for cheaper. I fail to see how this would negatively affect any of the richhags over since a majority of them rely ~60-90% on dividend income.

If you want the game to be more competitive, you'd need to either nerf the dividends or let the coin value inflation continue onwards until the Divs ROI% falls even lower. This would make a trading heavy playstyle more viable in the higher ranks, which I'm biased towards for obvious reasons.

Consider heavier green days instead.

No, I'm not saying that CCV changes the view counts on videos, I'm saying that during that fiasco with CCV being misinterpreted and showing significantly lower numbers than actuality, there was a backend change that helped fixed Mori's braps temporarily, but as they've tried to fix it, they've returned (but I haven't done numbers to prove this). The old school multi day 0 view days for Mori are long gone which I'm assuming you're talking about being "real", which can likely be attributed to just API changes and scraping changes on nasfaq and YT's end, but even recently there's been significant braps, I remember it even dropping to 11k recently, but nothing on the level of old school braps of multiple 0 days.

Q was released on the 3rd, and the 11k was on the 11th (funny). That day at least on nasfaq just has an 80k viewish day, with no daily subscribers or weekly subscribers changed from the previous and weekly views were even up on that day. There is an 0 view day saved in the history as well which was down to 12k on the 6th
It was more of a rrat that I've long thought of since Mori started fluctuating like this again, CCV is funny magic numbers in the first place.

Well let me just presuppose my point of view first by stating that I don't care about the thread for thread sake, I only see this as a medium of communication with other players, as long as players still plays the game even though the thread completely dies off then it's cool for me.

But at the same time, that guys got some truth in him, he should have mention it desu, for example, every time the Aggie re-awakens, thread is dead 100%. Nobody can deny that so I can see the fear of the same thing happening here now that GC is here.

Also fuck the discordniggers laughing at the debacle. I rather have this kind of convo than have a safespace in discord where every dissents are just banned. Friends argue, strangers just stay silent and leave.

Aggie opens at the point of the week where there's nothing to discuss anyway. Friday is the most boring day of the week because nobody sells and everyone's just hanging around waiting for dividends. One of the points of the aggie was arguably to GIVE something to do when the thread would be dead anyway. This association of "Aggie opened = Dead thread" is a presumption ignoring the rest of the scenario's details.
The fact that the thread and the GC have both had no problem staying active since the GC was opened should tell you that this argument is incredibly flawed on its premise, and is missing (or ignoring) key information that influences the situation.

Nobody can, or has been ever able to prove that. And more than one Anon has proven the opposite - that it has no effect.
The thread's died with the aggie opened and the aggie closed. The global chat has been open for days now and the thread is fine. The "conversation" is proof positive that the drama is self-manufactured, a self-fulfilling prophecy, intentional shitposting, or all of the above.

Good luck, I'm back from cooking reps myself, spoilered for people who don't wish to read about that.
I suppose it might impact the dip FOMO a bit, but consider another angle of this: back in the day, you were never really confident in how much liquid you 'should' have to zero yourself before dividends. There were genuine liquidity crises from 2 red days back-to-back, or a strong Susan at the end of the week. These events made the market less predictable, and now people have gotten a bit more comfortable with spending money more steadily rather than anticipating the unexpected.
With the current multicoin update (with a hidden volatility update I think, but I have not tested it, just by observing the market movement), the dips/spikes actually disappear over the course of the day. In the December-January period, the volatility was low enough for a dip to last the entire day, usually, which made a lot of people complacent and made the task of trying to estimate how much you have to spend per day trivial.
>>18468035
You are correct. It's been a very long time since a proper Susan, it's almost always VOD deletions/privates, or some more exotic events involving view rolloffs or returns from hiatuses. These, however, can be predicted. Susans were completely random.
>>18467897
About the effects of this on the market - I have a suspicion that adjustments are in some way, shape, or form based around the previous day's closing price (which would make sense, since mechanics like Oversold/Overbought would take the closing price into consideration), which would mean that events such as a Susan would be able to perhaps affect the price of coins in the longer term. I know I have jinxed it before, but Mori's price was primarily driven down by the OG brap cycle from which she usually didn't recover in full. Susans effectively injected unpredictability and variation to the market, and I think that they just made the game a bit more fun, strange as it may be.
>>18468063
Red days benefit those who can buy into them in full, i.e. the people you would wish to target. It's the green days (as >>18468445 said) that you need to buff in order to encourage trading.
A person who buys a coin on a red day will 'profit' off its return to the average price.
A person who doesn't sell on a green day will not turn a profit at all, since the value of the coin will return back down in time.
This is why "Ain't selling" was and is the most devastating FUD this thread has created.
>>18468290
I was talking about both. Old-time Mori was insane, as a coin. Now she's mostly predictable. That being said, me saying this might be a red flag for honk's scraper.
>>18468601
CCV chances/issues had no real impact on VOD views as far as I could tell. Mori's recent fluctuations come from her erratic streaming schedule, music releases, and some aftershock-like effects of view rollouts. 11k was indeed due to Q rolling off.
>>18468778
A bit of a timeloop, but you might not have been here when it was suggested: this would make dividends same-y as players would equilibrate with the coin volumes towards the 'untapped' coins. Volume changes much slower than daily VOD views (and cannot be kept in check by daily adjustments) so it would effectively just drive every single coin toward the same returns/price and kill of the entire strategic aspect of gearing your wallet for the long term.

>This is why "Ain't selling" was and is the most devastating FUD this thread has created.
As the person responsible for coining it as the "Ain't Sellin'" meta and drawing attention to it, I feel I should point out that holding for dividends was, at the time, considered the most viable tactic. The gains from selling a coin were considered to be lower than the losses you would incur from selling and buying back in later. Reds were NOT strong, usually quite weaker than greens (which weren't that great to begin with), and volatility was low so the market frequently stagnated. Compound that with how you could only move 144 shares per coin in a day, and selling became significantly more trouble than it was worth. Hence, the "Ain't Sellin'" meta was born.
Was that the optimal way to play? Probably not, honestly. But daytrading required a lot more specialized and focused autism due to how small your gains would be and how much you had to micromanage to keep them from becoming losses. "Ain't Sellin'" was the truth of that era of the game. And the truth is the strongest FUD.
