Why do any of you bother watching streams instead of just clips?
Clips are the highlights reel. Streams are boring shit and a waste of time.
I truly don't get it.

If your oshi isn't a 2view she isn't going to interact with you either way.

I prefer streams because actively, intently paying attention like I'm watching a movie isn't why I watch vtubers, it's a multitask experience for me. But it fucking enrages me when anons link to a 7 hour no-timestamps VOD they demand you watch while frothing at the mouth about clips

Clip are fun but I like investing my time and watch stream when I can.

This is true for EOPs. The live translators i n discords are worse than Otakmori they have zero reason to watch streams they dont understand. No, you're not "learning" shit when you look at the [EN] comments you have to actually study

I tried watching a stream with my fully devoted attention and felt like my brain was melting, ngl. It felt like just waiting for clippable moments

Why would that be? I know several people who learned English watching cartoons or browsing the internet, and I picked up German reading proficiency over a single year because I was daily reading a clinical research blog for multiple sclerosis in German. You're not going to become indiscriminately fluent or native from streams but you're certainly language learning, it absolutely can be productive.

and if anya fucking did it then anyone can

Even if we were to argue clips are the superior content, you wouldn't have them without people watching the actual streams.

That's like only watching the highlights of football matches and never the whole game itself. At that point you might as well not bother at all. Clips are only useful for Vtubers you either don't normally watch or don't have the opportunity to invest time into.

They're better as a background noise on a second display than main focus.

Because retards who only watch clips will have a grossly misinformed impression on the chuuba in comparison to someone that actually watches streams.
It's the reason why there's so many westoids blindly defending Rushia: because they're clipniggers, and their knowledge about her strictly consists of 2 things:
>pettan!!!! not boingboing
>NNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>clips
i watch vtuber shorts 95% of the time. they are original, to the point content and have a punch line, twist or nice singing
most streams arent that good unless the streamer is truly good at zatsu or has a talent niche (singing, cooking, voice acting etc)
