The Rushia/Mafumafu scandal has made is very obvious to me how deluded the western Vtuber fanbase is about the nature of their hobby.

If you watch a woman for hours every day, pay her money in donations and membership, laugh at her jokes, find her little quirks and her idiomatic noises delightful, all of these things - don't fucking kid yourself. You are attracted to her in a natural sexual manner. You are pretending to be her boyfriend.

They try and explain it away by saying they don't think she's their boyfriend, they just watch her for fun, but it's all bullshit. Women aren't funny unless you've got feelings for them. It's natural. If you just want entertainment and laughs then just stick to clips and watching western streamers on Twitch.
