Now when they do this, they are knowingly appealing to the lonely single male crowd, and for good reason, that's a large demographic in Japan and in the world in general. So thus these men feel compelled to donate and member, and otherwise support them FOR THIS REASON. And yes it's an illusion but it's a nice illusion, just like how they aren't really an anime character but they look like one. The GFE Holos are selling you something nice, an experience, much like a roller coaster ride or movie or a play.

And yet, every time something happens to break this illusion, all these normalfags swarm out of the woodwork like insects, saying things like YOU DON'T OWN HER and SHE CAN DO WHAT SHE WANTS, and my favorite, NONE OF IT IS REAL.

Fuck off. You are missing the point. When I go to see a movie I know it's not real.
