Some interesting topics today, SC readings really make for great zatsudans since people ask all kind of things. I wish I understood more of it... I forgot vtubers existed since Kizuna Ai until I randomly found one of her ARK streams in a search result for ARK and watched it, and kept watching them.
She was my favorite then since I liked her bad-at-video-games antics and how her calmness level often went from maximum to panic in moments. I watched only Kanata streams and a shitload of general Holo clips at that point since I knew nothing about Hololive.

Now:
I still love both her (in)ability at games and her drive to beat them.
Her excitement <--> calm shifts are still cute as hell, and at this point I feel in-sync with them since I've seen it countless times.
What seems to be her core personality (every part of it, from all of her strong points to her flaws) is my favorite though, and why she's my oshi.

She's an idol to me in a literal sense. She's the kind of person I greatly admire and wish I could be mentally strong like that too. As someone whose whole life revolves around music 24/7 as well I can't imagine how hard things are for her, yet she has accomplished so much more than I ever managed. I can't help but to look up to her and feel ashamed of myself comparison at times

She's also the kind of person I love to watch play games because I've always been curious about first-time experiences in games and guided a few people through their first playthroughs myself. So I naturally gravitate to holos like Kanata or Subaru who make the journey right before their audience. Kanata has her own style and it's great to see her find her own solution to things. And her determination is just legendary at this point. Nothing feels better than Kanata having revenge on something that she failed at before. I think ARK was my favorite example of all.

She's very relatable. From her idealistic view of Hololive to her being self-aware about everything she does, to just general outlook on life. It's always surprising to me that others feel the same way when they message her about things I find myself thinking about so she's definitely in tune with her heimins. It makes me feel appreciated in a very specific way. And when she talks about more serious stuff while replying to SCs about everyday life struggles, dealing with loss, being kind and so on, her responses feel personal and wise. She feels very gentle and warm at times.

Last but not least, I unironically love her fashion sense. Her style might be lame but it's deliberate and there is a definite sense to it, sometimes a theme. Also seen in her clothing choices in GTA. I think it reflects Kanata's nature as a character really well.

I'm glad that Kanata is having fun collabing again. Though I personally found the stream really boring. I've never really watched or played monhun so I don't know if it's how the game supposed to be or it's the way they played it, but it was such a drag. Reminded me a bit of those WoWS promo streams, things dragged on for so long they sometimes reduced their talk to just standard "includes paid promotion"-tier reactions. The way Kanata had fun with photo mode at the end felt like a huge relief. But I hope she continues playing, if she feels confident about it she'll get into the groove and improve with time. And maybe that's going to make her more daring with stream choices in the future too.

That's inevitable in a 4P room with 3 new players, the enemies get a full-room health multiplier but each member isn't pulling their own % (in this case, maybe only Lamy, the experienced one, was but I don't know I only watched Kanata). Also they jumped into multiplayer with the starter weapons which might be a disadvantage for speed kills (I don't know if it is in Rise).

This, so bad. There were too few regular solo streams this week. Though I'm glad she's apparently learned how to rest and pace herself to avoid burnout. She really is doing way too much shit right now. There are a bunch of simultaneous projects she's working on, several collabs in several different games going on (GTA coming soon too, apparently), plus all the different lessons she's taking, not to mention personal life suff. I'll risk jinxing it this time, Kanata's been excellent this year. Maybe it's general confidence, maybe she actually did prove something to herself over her first year and it allowed her to improve. You know how she is, as soon as she realizes she can do something she believes in it, maybe the whole solo stream period was just that, her testing herself. It gives me confidence too, confidence that opening her stream I'm gonna be entertained and it's gonna be something fun no matter what she's doing. Especially when it's a collab, even despite collabing less she somehow still became better at it too. I don't think that "pacing herself" can really be applied to her now after those Sans fight streams, huffing oxygen and all, but the fact that she got out of it without any apparent damage is really nice.

You're most likely right and it's natural, as Kanata said, they have so many meetings and chances to meet.
Add in sing and dance reps + stream prep + streaming and you'd be hard pressed to find time for many friendships outside of hololive.
Might as well use your precious free time to deepen your bond with your fellow holomens.
I'd say most holos except those who barely stream have gone through the same.

I respect Subaru for sticking to her life as much as she does, designating a day off the Internet to mentally reset herself and spend time in the real world while still being in the center of a tight group of Hololive friends. A lot of members would benefit from taking regular breaks, I'm really glad that Kanata isn't ashamed to do it too now if she's not feeling well. No matter how much vtubing is idealized it's still a job for them that's more than just streaming which is probably the easiest part of it.

I feel you anon, I'm fine with it as long as she's not actually harming herself, hearing her inhaling oxygen and sounding exhausted like she's about to pass out isn't really fun. The only thing we can do is hope that she'll be cautious. It won't get much worse. Spontaneous singing will be difficult and depending on the air pressure she will have balance problems/head aches, but she probably won't go completetly deaf, it's "just" moderate hearing loss in one ear.
