I think his popularity came from the VRChat boom (I used to be really into watching those videos) but I guess the relevancy of the char. is still related to the OW one. He was a VR streamer that was part of one of the more popular Teams of VR streamer sat the time who were leeching off the bigger people using it for content, but they've all since fallen off heavily since that time. I didn't know he resurfaced until very recently, but now it just seems like he's a washed of wannabe voice actor.

VTubing: How to know you aren't going to make it and when to slow down
Here are some simple ways to tell if streaming isn't for you and you should cool off

>Controversy
Firstly and most obviously, if you are part of a controversy or just fucked up in general, take some time away. Its likely that you may not have the personality to stream. It is a demanding job that requires focus of how people perceive you constantly.

>Busy
If you don't feel like you can take time off or that you are always too busy, then streaming may not be for you. You won't grow if you cant give streaming your full attention. But you WILL also lose out on other commitments if you do this full time and are already busy. Losing friends or romantic partner is not worth it.

>Bored
If you are just not having fun anymore, then you should probably slow down. Take some time to reevaluate why you started and see if that aligns with what you are doing today. There is better ways to spend your time, don't feel like you are trapped.

>No Good News
Constant negative options are ok by themselves. But if you are not receiving general praise on other platforms off of the chosen streaming platform, then its likely your audience is not very engaged. Bad opinions are fine if coupled with good opinions, but if you are seeing none, then its likely no one cares to compliment you.

>Friends
Lastly, what do your friends and family think? These don't have to be all of them, but just those who know you are streaming. Do they know your goals? Are they excited for you? Have they mentioned you might be doing too much or working yourself dry? These people who are closest to you will have the most honest opinions. Ask them.

In no way is this list exhaustive, just a few things to keep remembering as you stream. It wont get better when you hit Partner, or 100 active viewers, or 5k followers, or whatever. If you cannot take a small break for fear of your numbers dropping, you were never really building that audience in the first place. Don't lose what you have to streaming.

I don't agree with this, there are people who are just not entertaining and never will be because that's how they've been their entire life. Obviously people can change but so much of your personality is ingrained into you if they're at what I assume for most chuubas are their 20s. No one just suddenly becomes entertaining without major life shifts and if you've spent your whole life friendless, boring, uninteresting to talk to, reserved, etc there's really good chance you aren't changing any time soon. Some people just aren't suited to entertain but I don't think they even realize it because they see success of various degrees all around them.

Not saying they are, but you can do everything (networking, branding, etc) on a technical level right but still be a boring piece of shit with no idea of how to entertain an audience.

Last time she was over 500 was her anniversary stream. I suppose you're right in the technical sense, that almost no chuuba's growth is perfectly constant. But then again, almost every good chuuba grows in spurts, rather than in a straight line. You have a good month or a good stream, gather a burst of new followers and a higher CCV, then level out for a while. Or even dip for a bit. Then you gain momentum again, and the cycle repeats. It's just the circle of life. Some of the most successful indies in the business have "high tide marks" in that they have a ton of followers, but low CCV, under 1% of their follower count. That's because popularity is, for most chuubas, a rythm rather than a constant.
