Inevitably, those that want to make money off of their work will look at what does work and optimize, because very few people want to 'do it for free'. The fact that fotm games and SC baiting WORK is why they keep being done, and ultimately was bound to trend towards it since they offer the most 'bang' for work. Between creative/entertaining streams or sc bait streams, which is better in the long run?

For Luxiem, all they've done are numberfag streams/mix maxing SC potential in every stream and would shamelessly stream a slot in JP. Is it for the betterment of the EN branch and the other branches itself? I don't believe so. If anything, no one else other than them benefit from these streams other than inviting drama to themselves and their fanbases like what happened to Luca, even though he earnt $14k from it. Kinda poisons the well for other vtubers and set expectations for future male vtubers to be like them when they could've lean on variety streams or just be a pro FPSfag.

For Council, they've done okay, but they still lack direction going forward. Still could be improved in time, and none of them rely on SCs.

Even assuming the extra 20 minutes means an extra 10% more VOD views, Gura's stream would, if she had the same CCV as Subaru's stream, be about 220k.
Instead, it was 306k. Unless you're making the claim that Gura's fanbase is THAT ADHD, that despite having an average that's 4k+ lower she ended up with 50% more views, it's pretty clear that Gura's CCV is pretty fucked right now.

You blindly use vod views like it's gospel and completely forget that there's another metric, WATCH TIME, that varies between different streamers, type of streams, length of stream, audience and timeslot
One 1h mega collab that gets 70k where the average watch time is 30 minutes will have less VOD views at the end of the stream than one 1h stream with 20k ccv where the average watch time is 5 minutes per viewer because most of them tune in, check the content and leave

Look, I used the Gura VOD that has NO new growth for three reasons
1. No new viewers checking it out due to copyright block gives us the first instance of NO new viewers, what we got was it, no extra views skew the numbers
2. Close enough in length. 210 minutes vs 230 minutes
3. RPGs favored by their regions. I know GTA vs Yakuza isn't the cleanest, but it's as good of an analog as I think we'll ever get.
My only claim is that we know CCV is completely fucked. I make no claims as to what Gura's CCV should have been as a final number, as that is truly a fool's errand that would require assuming a whole lot of other factors.
