She also had some health issues iirc, and at debut that was fatal and killed the interest and trust in her from then on.
She had to live in the shadow of FBK, and Matsuri, and to a lesser extent Haachama too, who are some of the biggest talents even to this day, and after gen 2 and 3 there were already too many competitors. She didn't really find an audience, and tried all sorts of things to appeal but didn't seem to work. If there's a good thing that came out of the rapid expansion of the hololive trend was saving Akirose. Look at her Holotalk to hear that last part from her.
At least now she seems quite content with her stance.
She deserves better for sure, she's a treasure.

Aki was my first sub and only membership to a vtuber. She has a good amount of support from both her JP and overseas communities. I don't think she needs to be saved but more people tuning in and seeing her would be great.
