his writing is raw and unpolished. there's nothing more about it. his writing is only superficially engaging because he is decent at capturing his character's personalities. however, even this requires you, as the reader, to know those characters beforehand, so it's not as impressive as it may seem.

so his writing is basically: dialogue filler, dialogue filler, dialogue filler, scene change, dialogue filler, dialogue filler.
exposition diarrhea, hard-to-follow speaker orders, and horrible temporal consistency. sometimes the dialogue moves far too quickly for any meaningful impact to be left on the reader, sometimes too slowly to the point where you want to close the window right then and there.
in that sense, his writing is literally just "letting the established personalities work their magic". if hololive were to cease to exist, his fics would be 3rd-rate garbage relegated to some fanfiction.net account with 5 followers.

so outside of a barebones, somewhat-immersive dialogue, what does his fics have? worldbuilding? nope. fleshing out scenes? nope. an engaging plot? nope - precisely why he sticks to "fluff" which is just meaningless filler subsidized with shitty tv/anime/romance tropes any 13 year old will have integrated to memory.
it is from his lack of actual writing that one sees how empty his linguistic toolbox actually is. the writing, objectively speaking, is at a high school 4fun level. like some 9th grader decided to pick up ficshit for his favorite naruto ship. lack of creativity and proper style and prose results in horribly uninspiring narratives that are massively carried by personalities that require hours of pre-exposure to on a separate platform.
