Define 'make it' as well then. There's plenty of amateur and hobbyist musicians, people who do it professionally but aren't selling out stages, and so on. Are they allowed to stream and do all their normal activities, just with a face cam instead of a avatar or are they limited to traditional media platforms such as Twitter, talk shows, and so on?

This has more of a chance of being covered since it's an anime theme song (which is also where the visuals from the MV from). Well "more", it's an Iso anime so it is doomed to be a cult hit like Dennou Coil was.

I really can't think of any vsingers who're carried solely by their appearance. If they're allowed stream on Twitch/Youtube like the nonvtuber utiates do, I don't think you'd see a large change in their successes. The real question is if most of them would still be brave enough to do so, since you have people like Kaf who're still total ghosts despite being around forever, or nayuta who's seen a very healthy incline despite png tubing a large portion of the time and was a ghost for over a decade except for actual events like Comiket and so on. For most vsingers, I feel like the avatar is there for their protection, not for the audience's. There might be a few Susan Boyles who're very offputting to look at and would be smaller, but unlike vtubers who've got a lot to gain from divorcing themselves from their past social media if they're trying to appeal to the male audience, there's much less of a concern about them being in a relationship or other things that a streamer would try to bury since the product they're selling isn't girlfriend simulator but music. I suppose by extension, there are probably some who benefit from being able to have a personal social media account to not get menhera on main, but plenty of them do anyway and once you get big, you're likely to get doxxed anyway if you have a big social media presence as the roommate.

I don't even think the avatar even does anything its more of the Corpo buff where u would really see a difference. If u look at the singers talked about here and their current numbers vs their individual talent level thats where u could talk about where someone deserves their numbers or not. Most singers dont even play a character or pander to weebs they just take song requests.


Of the singers where I would question their success in order of most to least based on how well they sing in a normal utawaku - Towa / Watame / Sora / Azki / Kyo / Irys / Toko / Cocoa / Suisei / Hien / Leona / Chima / Iori / Levi / Saki / Hachi / Suzuna / Stella


Yes its actually Stella that deserves most of her numbers cus she actually attained them as an indie before signing a corpo contract. Unless there is some singer that really plays into their character and tries to attain numbers thru a parasocial relationship vs their singing u can point out, i feel every singer would have the same numbers with or without an avatar.
