Unlike Nova, Mint is someone I actually watched. I was even part of her "membooship", for a couple months so I can talk about her. She's pretty cute and funny, without relying on sex or poop jokes. She also keeps a bit of a "kayfabe" going if you are into that, so she usually says "when I was a little wisp" or "before I became a ghost" when talking about her past stories. She's probably at her best when she has any of her weird stream ideas, like that one time she did a karaoke of her singing only Ikenai Borderline 50 times.

Or she just gave up of streaming entirely because her numbers aren't that great (just slight above average for indie standards), which would make me sad. And while Holo Vsinger is also a possibility, as much as I like Mint, I don't think she's a particularly great singer.

Hope NijiEN succeeds but doubt it will. Niji doesn't have the magical talent scouting abilities of Holo, and unlike ID and CN there's actually a lot of pre-existing competition in Vshojo, HoloEN and the literal hordes of indies.

on top of that, unlike Hololive, Niji is unheard of in the west so they're going to have to generate the hype themselves, which knowing Nijisanji, they won't do.
Unless one of these girls is something truly special I don't see them finding more than a small foot hold against the already established juggernauts.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Niji was going big with something like 7-10, similar to their first waves. From a business point of view they're trying to break into a fairly saturated market. I get the whole "muh tribalism" thing, but the fact Hololive has become the de facto face of Japanese vtubers for many westerners does provide a big challenge for Nijisanji, and they also have competition between big indies and groups like Vshoujo. I think they're going for a "big splash" type of deal, where they rocket in with a large new group and big fanfare to try to assert their name. Even if they didn't pick all gem talents, it will still go a long way to putting their name back in the conversation among westerners.

Out of what you listed only subreddit and pandering was done by Hololive. But subreddit happened after Hololive got popularity in the West. HoloJP started interacting with English comments when they flooded their chats and not the other way around. Additionally, Ars was doing the GoogleTL thing a year ago and it didn't lead anywhere.
I just can't remember any conscious actions by Hololive as a company to get to the West prior to debuting HoloEN.

Moona is the top vtuber in ID, she gets more viewers than most nijisanji livers. Iofi and Anya who care fuck all about their numbers are still doing better than Hana the top NijiID.
Choco was one of the fastest growing channels but got fucked by youtube and never recovered. Roboco joined early on, most people find her boring which is fair. Her voice/asmr is her strong suit but she would rather focus on apex.
