HoloEN is basically just there phoning it in for a fat paycheck until they graduate coasting off the brand recognition. Meanwhile the NijiEN streamers love what they are doing, have ambition and drive to put in the effort, and a great group of friends around them supporting it each other. I wouldn't blame any Hololive fans making the switch it's hard not to recognize it as the superior experience when you give it a try.

It's so weird to me as someone who has never watched HoloEN when I go take a look at their channels and see the so many members that stream less in a week than multiple NijiEN members do on an average day. It makes me wonder how people actually manage to form those parasocial relationships people go on about when you hardly even get to see the girls. I feel like I would get bored and lose interest.

I love the fact that no Holofag here has dared to bring up that convenient fact. Hololive is supposed to an idol company. Yet, none of Hololive's supposed EN idols project an idol's image. So what is Hololive EN then, if not an idol division? I'll tell you, they're a bunch lazy 'streamers.'

Can it even be argued at this point that they weren't carried by the brand name? Did their 6 and 7s for songs really earn them all a 1m subs? Did Cover's excellent technical support give them a competitive advantage over the competition? Perhaps all of them they really streamed every day and struggled for each milestone?

No. They were favored by algorithm and this tower of sand is tattering over in the slightest storm. Perhaps HoloEN can continue to coast on JP's success in meantime while they find their own identity. Or maybe they can accept HoloID levels of relevance in time.

I think it should be noted that stream length and ad revenue aren't related too much. Once you get to livestreaming, Youtube Premium viewer retention is where the money is made.

I just watch both of them. Since I don't watch exclusively because of the streamer and more because of what they're playing or doing I can focus my time on highlight clips where the conversations is condensed and to the point and when there's something I really like I tend to watch the whole VOD. Having an Oshi is overrated and time is precious.

Things just don't seem to be going great for some of the Holos, their PCs and equipment are either breaking on them or they seem to be physically ill.
I'm not quite sure it's a matter of them mostly getting lazy and just coasting either because with Council or any gen after, you'll now have to work for views/subs/cash. The brand will only get you so far since we aren't in mid 2020 Covid lockdowns either.

Most people enjoy watching streams live, it's hard to get around that fact. Simply streaming more catches those people. Obviously if you have well edited videos then they will do the best on YT since people are more willing to sit through that then a recording of a stream.
