Alright so after the past few days i decided to actually sit and watch a kiara vod for the first time. My immediate fucking question is, why the FUCK doesn't every vtuber use her same Live2d / rigging / whatever technology??? Kiara's model is absolute lightyears beyond anything I have ever seen before. Or at least, why doesn't the rest of hololive have the same shit?

I'm just pissed off. Like take gura for example, queen cunny shork herself raking in easily 7 figures annually; People were ragging on her for streaming with a png recently, but I have ALWAYS thought her Live2d might as well be a png, the rigging is so incredibly basic.

There are generally speaking three factors involved with rigging. Though one could be split a bit to give a forth. The first factor is the tech behind it the program, now in Holo EN everyone is using the same program, and in JP most of them are using that one as well. Next though is the actual rigging, which is the one that can be split, that split being between the rigging and the model. The model has to be set up well to work with the rigging and sometimes an otherwise good model can cause strange issues with rigging if it wasn't developed properly. Such as bulbasaur Flare. Then the actual rigging quality, which can vary a great deal. Lastly you have the person behind the model, and it doesn't matter how good a model you have, how great the program is, or how well rigged they are if the person isn't expressive. Kiara is good on all counts, she has a good program running things, she has a great model that was well developed and rigged, and she is extremely expressive.
