The problem with only watching clips is that you're essentially getting a highlights reel without the first picture. A lot of things are taken out of context in clips and mistranslated so they're unreliable as well. Clippers want to make money so things that they don't think will get views aren't clipped. Small quiet moments that allow you to know a Vtuber more intimately are discarded and funny meme xD moments are promoted. Shion talking about her favorite food and tv shows maybe isn't clip material but if she's your favorite girl that can be indispensable knowledge for you to have and you might even feel a closer connection to her because of it. When you watch streams you feel like you really know the girl and not just an ideal image of her presented to the masses. I guess that's the best way I can describe it. I know scenes of Luna being sweet and cute to her audience in particular almost never get clipped and I'm grateful to have seen them regardless.
