The Ark ark was one of the most kino things in hololive history - CAMP collabs (Coco-Aqua-Peko-Marine), Raids, miko's adventures, aki being an absolute badass, almost every single holo tripping on shrooms.. Good times.

Not to mention how cool it was to see the global ark community take notice of hololive too. Devs used to watch and comment on streams, the ark website would feature fanart of the holo girls, many were inspired to start modding ark because the girls would try it out and sometimes even help find bugs and stuff.

I bought the base game years ago. To have all the dlc what do I need to buy exactly? There's something with season passes too.

I'll give you a list. Keep in mind that if you want to competitive PVP and hop between servers to raid and stuff you can only join other servers if you have the DLC for it. But otherwise in theory somebody could gift you dinos or gear that comes from those servers no problem.

Free DLC, Exactly like the base Island but FUCKING HUGE by comparison
>Scorched Earth
Very harsh desert map. Most people don't play it. Its literally the game on Extra hard mode. Electrical equipment can overheat and take damage if run during the day time
>Abberation
A LOT of new shit. This is the underground cave map with new dinos, radiation mechanic, and all around weird shit.
>Ragnarock
Free DLC, Has a small scorched earth-like desert in the corner of the map and a specific Abberation-like Underground spooky shit section. But limited taming of dinos from those areas. Added Griffens to the game. Can also tame Wyverns which were originally only in Scorched
>Extinction
End-game shit. You better know what the fuck you're doing. It has a permanently snowy biome, a permanently desert biome, and a City biome, and a LITERAL WASTELAND WITH CORRUPTED DINOS IN BETWEEN. Cool dinos got invented here such as the Gas balloon thing that flies and carries weight like a pack mule and the Velos which are dinos but they're effectively living turrets.

Each DLC is a brand new map
In singleplayer you only get to play one map at a time.

In multiplayer on official servers. You can use the big towers to "hop" between servers.Big coalition tribes own multiple servers due to each one having unique dinos and things about them. You aren't allowed on servers you don't have DLC for.
But somebody could lets say go to the Extinction map, tame an extinction-only dino (like the snowy owl), take it back to your Island server and give it to you.

Thats why ark is a billion fucking gigabytes. You have every single dino even on servers you don't own installed on your computer and the DLC is just downloading a map.

So:

BUT, if you play multiplayer other tribes could have tamed shit from the rape dlc and have them station at their base on the easeir servers.
