i think the most likely thing is that she's experiencing the same tension that a lot of people do with mic selection and placement in a less-than-ideal room at home. close mic placement reduces the amount of room echo you get, but a big low-end boost that sounds unnatural. more distant mic placement makes your voice sound more natural, but with a lot more room echo.

switching to an SM7B would be a quick and easy way to deal with one part of that, by turning on its bass rolloff switch and shoving the mic really close to her mouth. but it's probably not going to sound better overall, because a closer mic placement is going to pick up lots of lip-smacking and breathing and popping sounds. if you want to hear what close mic placement with an SM7B sounds like, go listen to recent kiara streams. i don't think it's debatable that that sound is a step down or ten from gura's normal voice audio.

gura has also complained in the past that she doesn't like how her "s" sounds and wishes it were higher like she hears in other women's voices. the TLM 103 is an excellent choice for her if she wants that sound, because it grabs the exact part of her "s" that she thinks is missing, and throws an extra 5 dB on it, and it does it with very low distortion. the SM7B would subtract ~3 dB instead and with more distortion.

i just hope she isn't too psyched out by having to listen to the sound of her own voice when she compares them.

the TLM 103 is more of a vocal mic than an instrument mic. the frequency response is extremely flat from 70 Hz to 2.2 kHz, where the fundamental frequencies of human voices sit, and it has a boost of about 5 dB for 2½ octaves above that to make consonants sound very clear. a neumann condenser like the TLM 103 is one of the go-to mics for vocal recording, and has been for decades. the SM7B is the better instrument mic between the two simply because it can handle a much higher level of sound pressure, but of course that's because it's just derived from the $100 SM57 that we shove up against the grill of a guitar amplifier. the TLM 103 can't even outperform the half-priced TLM 102 for instrument miking.

the SM7B isn't terrible if it's a good fit for the voice you're recording and if you're willing to use some EQ to clean it up. if she had like a yeti snowball and wanted to upgrade, sure, that would be a great thing to try. but what she has now is already an excellent fit for her voice.

i have a custom search set up in my browser for http://qaz.wtf/u/convert.cgi and i use its subscript and superscript outputs to get those for one-off strings, but i also have a browser extension installed that does text replacement, and it's configured to convert 'huhaha' to 'ₕᵤhaʰᵃ' when i type it because i use that one so much more often. ultimately the subscript and superscript alphabets are kind of a mishmash of different stuff from different parts of unicode, and some letters work better than others. all the "beeneeneenuu" stuff in the variety stream transcript came out kinda garbled but it's about the best you can do with the stuff 4chan lets through.

yeah, well, i upgraded mine not too long ago because i got a big bonus at work and i was like, "no, no, you DO deserve to have your very own neumann large-diaphragm condenser after all these years!". i have very fond memories of the U87s i used to use at my other job long ago and i was sick of using a mic that was just "good enough", when i spend about twice as much of my work week talking into one as a lot of streamers do.

and now i just think it would be so nice to have a second one of the exact same model so i can record in stereo. because of course, why wouldn't you want a nice matched pair of neumann condensers to set up in A-B or X-Y?

picking up the lower part of your voice in a pleasing way really just requires that you've got something that's not total junk and will pick up lower frequencies. you can control that part of it pretty easily with mic placement if it's a cardioid pattern, and with EQ regardless. the mids and highs are the harder part. a good compression setup also goes a long way.

Running is explained in the manual. Pretty sure the various upgrades are all in the manual, as well as the door colours. It works much better because the game flow isn't broken up by "HEY HERE'S HOW YOU JOG AT A BRISK PACE". It's just like 2 pages in a manual you read before playing the game and you go from there.

And a lot of this game is optional stuff it expects you to figure out on your own. The entire purpose of this genre (metroidvanias) is exploration and just figuring how to get places.

I can't speak for him or anyone else, but I sleep in weird positions, and wake up feeling sore, but cuddling a pillow that big keeps me in a good sleeping position, and leaves me feeling good when I wake up.

As for an anime girl cover it is nice to wake up to something cute like that. I find that something nice like that can give that small boost you need to start your day.

Yeah, I only have one, but I would never get a naked or overly sexual one. Normal outfit on one side, and underwear or pajamas on the other side is the way to go.

Due to some of my most beloved waifus being from rather obscure games I have been thinking about getting one custom made, but between price, and art quality I have had a very hard time finding something that looks nice, but does not cost an arm and leg.
