CCVID - Youtube updated something last year in December that started flagging USERS for 'delayed extra verification', some attempt to stop bots is the best guess.
The unfortunate thing is the extra verification is taking up to 24-48 hours and results in the final CCV not showing up correctly until the delayed verification period on the analytics of streamers.
At it's worst, many Vtubers were 'missing' 75-80%+ of their CCV, with some indies just straight up having 0 viewers with a chat that CLEARLY had way way more than that.
Youtube 'reverted' the flagged status earlier this month, but the underlying bots are still in play and have been flagging users. One thing that seems to trip the bot are relays, which is why the effects got much much worse after the Hololive Christmas Relay and the HoloEN Council Kimono Relays.

Your standard variety of every day stream isn't going to give you explosive growth. Fast growing moments are going to come from challenges, a moment getting clipped and going viral, a big song, someone doing an animation that takes off, etc. Picking up 30-50k subs in a month is still a lot of people. For a streamer it's probably more important to compare their growth against viewer and sub metrics to see how well they're maintaining a core. Stability is important while they experiment with new things to hook a crowd.

When holoX debuted we saw a slow down on most holos subs after some gains and some going negative a few days for the toursits suscribing across multiple channels.
