This remains to be seen. While Holostars are receiving more promotion, it doesn’t mean we’ll have an EN branch when we don’t even have an ID branch. Furthermore, even if HolostarsEN did happen, there’s no evidence it would be any more integrated with the existing EN branches any more than the JP branch is.

As far as I can tell unicornfaggotry wasn't even a serious thing in holo until Rushia debuted. Prior to that hololive were "idols" in the more loose sense of being singers and dancers, and their ASMRs were more ero/"camwhore"-ish than intimate. Nijimale collabs were a lot more common, too.

But the necromancer changed the entire idol game for hololive and pressured almost everyone into embracing GFE as part of the idol experience, whether that pressure was because pandering to unicorns made more money or kept them out of the sights of schizos.

Yes, but not for the reason you think they have.
The biggest impact Luxiem has had on NijiEN is by blurring the lines between separate members streams and throwing it all together into one big blurred and muddied melting pot. The same also happened with HoloEN when they introduced Council and everyone was playing Minecraft together.
Altogether it has the effect of making colabs feel less special, drowning out the girls who don't push to distinguish themselves, (because let's face it, guys will always dominate any mixed gender interaction, it's just the way of the world) and generally taking away the feeling that a chuuba has a special relation with her chat, that she's streaming to entertain (You).
All in all I think they've really stripped away what makes vtubing "special" and distinct from a regular twitch gamer.
