What makes us (yes US) so fucking mad about seeing holos be lazy? Gura, Kronii, Sana, and of course the queen of whores Ayame.
What makes their lack of effort so sinful?

Aside from the obvious (people don't like to be shown that effort is irrelevant), I think a huge sell on vtubing is the idea that it's like a "dream job" and that they LOVE interacting with their fans (or at least making content for them to enjoy). Because I think most of them do, especially the OGs. So you as a viewer feel like you are contributing to their happiness just by watching.

But when a vtuber is obviously lazy, it breaks this illusion and you are reminded that to them it's just a job for quick bux, they have no love for their fans, and it's not a passion.

Because at the current day Holo is the most popular and you know that there is someone out there that applied which would have been more grateful for the opportunity to be employed by them. It could have been someone that actually streamed and people enjoyed rather than dead weight.

You don't care about it if you watch more than Hololive.

It's just jealousy. But it's misplaced, like being jelaous of a movie star - it's a whole different world/lifestyle you're not a part of. It'd make more sense to direct that kind of jealousy at a fellow co-worker, who gets more annual leave approved than you do

Because we know most of these girls have no job or duties outside of this and that playing games is something people normally do just for fun, and often in a lot fucking more quantity of it than many vtubers do. So, it looks a lot like they're taking a break from doing almost-nothing just because they can. From that, people might ask "why the fuck does she not even wanna play a game or something? she must hate us then because it takes no effort to do that. if that's how it is then then I'll hate her too for hating me."

Of course, it's not remotely so simple as "start playing whatever just to make some content, turn on the phone and stream" between perms, chat interaction and stream considations, they can someone be themselves in stretches but not always. Nevertheless no fandom wants to see any hints of the thing they're a fan of hating them/spiting them authentically. That's part of what makes the Mori drama what it is, a lot of deadbeats even if they didn't have a strong opinion on TT shitters, might take offense to the fact that at the end of the day Mori shit on a fan hard then doubled down trying to trigger said fan and anyone like him out of pure spite. If she can be that petty and shitty for one reason who is to say she won't do that for others eventually, etc. So, to shit on even one fan is going to at minimum affect at least a couple percent of the fanbase because they find the act itself questionable. To skip streams and give shitty lies over and over is the inverse, not super-shitting on one guy's head directly but lightly shitting on every single fan going "you're not worth my attention even though I said I would come entertain you" and it's like being stood up.

I seriously can't believe the ayame simps that shower her with money when she streams once a month those people are seriously fucked up.

sana is also a hilarious case because she disappeared for a month shortly after start because her old dog died. Am I supposed to believe that it's somehow surprising that your old dog died or that you need a month off work to deal with it?

It is much more understandable for the JP tubers to stream less at times since they actually do concerts and lives and take lessons and shit while what kronii is putting out a single song? kanata threw together an original song in like a month for coco's grad lol. I suppose they could have already had it in works though since they all knew long before about her graduation

>it's like being stood up
That's EXACTLY it for if they scheduled something and then pulled out. Fuck, why is that not more clearly understood.

At bare fucking minimum let us know well ahead of time something isn't going to go as we've been conditioned (by the streamer herself) to simply expect. Whether it be that X week(s) are going to be light on content or that the schedule is not solid yet and might be late.

>> No.16679852

Well these Vtubers are different people joining Hololive with different purposes.
Some people just want to have easy money (you can't blame them), some only consider this as side job, the rest actually love what they doing and fans can feel their passion.

i don't really give a shit if they want to stream once a week, or 7 times a week. i just find it funny to meme about some holo's laziness. it baffles me as to why they wouldn't want to take advantage of their earning potential while it lasts.

I'm more impressed by content creators that actually do it full time though

You're one of a million white collar mercenaries chasing the almighty dollar, probably in finance, software development, or corporate law. You have no real passion but money-making.
Early vtubers saw it as a hobby with some income potential. Some of them still only see it as a hobby. It's only the current wave of Polkas and Botans who believe in vtubing as a merchandising opportunity with brand potential.

I think both sides or hobbytist and market focused are valid but I think the problem is that they're getting paid without doing much for months, ie it's their job so if you go and say "I've depression and as such I won't be coming for a months" you're going to get fired, most of use are used to "I don't care if you're half dying, if you don't come to work you're not getting paid" and as such seeing someone getting more than what we can earn just for coming to work one day a month is just... sad to a certain point, specially if this is their job and their job is to entertain others, there's so many times you can rewatch a stream, maybe not asking them to stream every single day but at least keep a minimum of 4-5 streams a week (as specially the JP branch is busy af recording and doing whatever shit Cover asks for).

Also not seeing them, it's stupid but if you Oshi streams once in a full moon it's kinda sad, like I remember when Botan stopped streaming for a week because she was moving, boi did I suffer, I don't want to imagine what would've be if she were like Ayame.
