I'm referring to their 3D modeling pipeline where they make their 3D modeled characters look like 2D sprites in the game. The thing about it is that it can be translated easily to any other 3D modeling environment because they all use the same predictable rendering methods. This translates particularly well for things like VTubing using Live2D because they can just as easily rig the 3D model to behave like a Live2D model by fixing the camera angle and created the same limited motion that they have.

The problem is that only Arc System Works does this because they actually care to make 3D models look like 2D anime.

So I have a theory that Nijifemales lost viewership to Vspo and Vspo adjacents. The reasoning is pretty simple: the Nijis that are thriving (other than Lize) are almost all at least somewhat related to Vspo. Vspo was also hit hard during the cull, similar to how many holos were hit hard, although what's curious is that the holo that seemed to be hit hardest was Towa, who can be considered a Vspo adjacent given her many collabs with Vspo members. Similarly on the Niji-side, the Nijis that were hit hardest were Vspo related as well. Kanae for instance plays a lot with Vspo members (notably FPS as well as his interactions with BIG_STAR, a group that has a Vspo member and two other members that interact a lot with Vspo). So now that we've established a general viewer overlap between Towa, Vspo, and Niji, and now we've seen a situation where Towa seems to be inclining while Vspo is inclining, it seems logical that the main source of the viewers that pass through this chain come from Niji.

I used a Python program called Chat Replay Downloader to get all chat messages, then made some modifications in order for it to count and print the number of unique chatters. I had to do this because it's hard to compare Kiara's streams to others since hers are much longer than average.
Anyway, here's an example: In the first 3 hours of her recent Link's Awakening's stream, there were 3644 unique chatters and 32670 messages. Compare that to another recent stream, Fauna's Skyrim. Scroll down a bit to see it

For hers, there were 3542 unique chatters and 25266 messages, so the number of chatters is similar. However, while Kiara's CCV peaked at around 4600, Fauna's peaked at 6500, with an average of 5000, with a really sharp drop at the end when she switched to SC reading.
From that, I can see 3 possibilities:
1. YT is still culling Kiara's live viewer count
2. Kiara just has more chatters compared to others
3. Kiara has higher viewer rotation, with many leaving and entering

I've compared Kiara to other recent streams with similar chatter count besides this one and this still holds true.

Anyone that has followed Bae for a decent amount of time knows that the rat is the most ambitious member in Council. She had a bad start but she is managing to put the pieces together. Bae just needs to learn how to numberfag a bit and learn how to adapt quickly to trends. She makes her schedules pretty far in advance, but the downside of that is her schedule doesn't have the flexibility to let her play a new FOTM as it comes out.

IRyS also works hard in both the streaming and music side. She racks up a lot of streaming hours, probably 3rd in hours behind Kiara and Mori. Then when she is recording her music she sometimes goes too hard to the point of temporarily damaging her voice. IRyS just needs to learn how to shill her music more and maybe find a way to get more buff streams.

Adblock does not matter, with adblock enabled I was still able to count as a viewer pre-CCVID on legit 0view streams. After the "fix" for CCVID happened I counted again as a viewer with adblock for 3-4 days and then got unviewered again.

Depending on what you want to do with it, it can be. If what you want is to create a simple Live2D replacement, you just have to make a rig that has limited motion like a Live2D, ad kinematics here and there and most of the work is done. The complicated part is making actively changing 3D scenes/animations look 2D like in their games (which requires manual tweaking frame by frame), but you already kind of do that in Live2D anyway so it's kind of zero-sum on that end.

This discussion was mainly about Live2D Euclid, which used the Live2D face rig for the head on a 3D model to simulate anime-like behavior in 3D environments, which was deprecated because it obviously was more work than it was worth to make a 3D model with a multi-layered 2D head/face when they could just go all the way and make a full 3D model and properly work their way backwards through rigging, lighting and animation tricks. But if we assume that you want to sidestep the issue of variable quality Live2D rigging while still keeping in line with the art style of the character, this would be a good way to completely eliminating the problem, especially since 3D modelers/riggers are in great abundance all over the world.
