every five minutes of video takes an hour of work, so add streaming for three hours and making a 15 minute compilation together and you get six hours of work, add in that your chuuba has obligations besides that like work to live and/or social to keep friends/parents happy with them and you have 14 hours, add in that most chuubas stream at least three or five times a week and now you have maybe six hours a week free to yourself to do non-chuuba non-not dying things

does anyone actually enjoy watching collabs with 6+ people in them? I can never track what the hell is going on even if I like all the people in the collab, they always feel like more of a networking opportunity for the streamers than an actual attempt at entertainment.

Usually streamers who upload an edited version of videos down usually hire a set of editors who are ready to work on videos as soon as streams end. Of course, seeing as how most vtubers are just hobbyists hiring a full time editor is too expensive in order to make it worth it until they get big enough and even then you will get fan clippers who would do that job for you for free for the most part.

As someone already said ,he's probably got his own editor or does this full time, but even for someone doing it part time it's more beneficial to stream less and edit/upload more than it is to stream more and edit/upload less, if you had to pick one. A majority of your new faces should be learning about you while you're offline, not just while you're streaming (unless they happen to catch you live).

Dennys is kinda a unique atmosphere because of how casual it is, it really feels like just listening in to a table full of friends at a restaurant hang out and chat, with everyone being considerate of one another and letting conversations flow. I get what anon means about big planned out collabs though, often everyone is trying to out-funny one another and it results in a lot of incoherent yelling, which makes the stream pretty hard to watch in a lot of cases.

Looking at his charts it doesn't seem that way. Botting/Embedding typically gives a massive spike at the start that's the Peak viewership for that stream, like Al*ra for example. Then the number goes up because of real viewers, but then it just gradually goes back down because the real viewers/notiff clickers will slowly filter out as the stream goes on.

Not saying he isn't botting or embedding, but it certainly doesn't look that way when you compare it to other botters/embedders

I feel like an eight hour stream defeats the object of it being "how to put out good content".
I woke up when he was ~3(?) hours in, and thought it seemed like something I could check out once he was done, but I didn't want to drop in halfway, so parked myself on the VOD page to reload once done.
Checked it an hour later, he was still going. New guests. More talking. Four hours is that bit more than three, such that I don't tend to have four hours free in a day.
Checking the VOD, it's seven hours. I absolutely can't spend an entire work day paying even half-attention to this. Maybe if it was chock full of tips, I could watch it over a few days, but he had all sorts of guests on, and I find his voice grating and obnoxious at the best of times, even when it's just clips.
I'm hoping he compresses it down, because, I've got to be honest, he seems to have it figured out - he's going for eight hours at a time, with a model that's, being generous, not very good at face capture. He knows what he's doing, and he has to be exceptionally good at it (in much the same way I'd listen to Little_S' POV, making it as a(n exceedingly clever) PNG).

That's what I try and say whenever people bring him up and act like he's just the worst dude out there. His only "crime" is being annoying, aside from that you really can't fault the guy. He almost exclusively streams with no-name streamers aside from Bat (which is recent) and a few others occasionally, constantly promotes and supports them despite them clearly not being good enough to make it with or without his help, and overall is good at content creation. Do I like his content? No, but as far as knowledge, production value, and just skill in general he's pretty up there.
